the sheriff there, Ben Johnson, said the whole dept. was devastated :-1 for this little girl, who is now with relatives. it is just a blessing the shooter did not kill her.

Things like this sure put our own "crap" into perspective, don't they? I don't get choked up easy, but.....damn. That poor kid. Makes you want to hug someone.

LADYCOP,

I couldn't bring myself to listen to the tape.. I did read the transcript.. Awful, just so sad. What a brave little girl she is, so smart and aware of what to do.

My God do we know anything about the murder of her mother and father???

I just get the chills when I think of mans inhumanity to man. So glad this baby wasn't killed as well.. :(

the killer killed himself Carla. he thought, erroneously, that the parents had reported him for marijuana sales. the parents had tried to get a restraining order against him, and the judge said he saw no reason for it. the judge now feels like crap....then again, restraining orders are worth crap when someone is intent.

:-1 We're going to hell in a handbasket. What kind of society are we, when our babies have to make calls like this? The judge didnt 'think' and the killer 'thought' wrongly.

This is just a bloody greek tragedy!

Sure, a restraining order isn't worth crap if someone is intent, but it might have, just for a second, made him think twice. The judge obviously failed miserably at the cost of this child's parents. Our justice system at it's finest. :-5

the Sheriff said she has a lot of loving family who will care for her forever...but what will she remember and how will it ultimately affect her? my heart surely broke for her. :-1

What a awful story.. Senseless killing. I pray this sweet little girl can somehow with the love of her family grow up without being tragically scared from this horrible tragedy.. :-1
