*hee* Gee, I don't know Hammy...we'd have to do a pre-screening and all...we're really stringent...

Just kidding!!! :wah:

I've never reported any posts to admin. I guess there's always a first time for everything and could always be something that pushed me over the edge but in general I think I can handle things myself. But hey, we'll see right? ;)

I SPEAK UP!??? (and sometimes ignore)

Actually, I really don't like to get deeply involved in controversial threads! Oh I may read some, & just don't even open others I really am just not that interested in! I usually try to stay out of the Bru-ha-ha's, but sometimes if I really really feel strongly enough about a reply to a thread, & I want to say something, I'll just "Piggie-Back" on "someone else's" reply that I mainly agree with.

My roundabout reply would be: What "so & so" said! This way if in fact there's a nasty rebuttal, it's directed at the origal poster! And I get to see both sides. Yes, it's sneaky I know, but I sort of get my opinion out there through others. I'm really here for entainment, not to have to do verbal combat with some Gardners in here. (I've had to do verbal combat almost daily all during my working career. So I'm kinda tired of it now) Also, to possibly gain some overall world wide knowledge & customs from our many diversified people in our Garden! :)

Pinky;460946 wrote: If you objected to the way someone else posts, the way they put things across or just think they should go about things differently, would you feel the need to pull them up about it or just put them on ignore?

If you chose the first one, do you think it would start to look a bit obvious after a while that you take exception to that person?

Personally, if someone constantly annoyed me, I'd just press ignore.

If I was offended by a person's posts, it would not mean I didn't like them, maybe that we just have different approaches, ethics, viewpoints. If I felt the need to approach someone, or let them know that I felt something was being done wrong. I'd hope that I could do this in a way that they felt it wasn't personal, just an opinion, or a different perspective.

I would however let them know.

Additionally, I'm afraid I can't keep my nose out if I feel someone is being cyber-bullied. I have to jump in with my size 5's!

I would not usue the forum ignore option..but I may just choose not to read posts by that person. If I felt they were really out of line about something, I may politely tell them so, either in PM or in a thread, depending on what I had to say.

If I felt the person was being offensive to me personally , I would address it in a PM rather than publicly. If I felt they were making uncalled for comments to or about another FG member, I would deal with it publically.

I love being put on ignore. :D

Those who ignore me have the constant irritation of reading threads which don't flow and I don't have the hassle of them bugging me! It's brilliant! :wah: :wah: :wah:
