i love this thread. i like hearing a cop's point of view on their job.

I can imagine some of the stupid calls a cop receives. One once told me that the most frustrating part of his job was to be called out for domestic violence, only to have the caller not want to press charges and stay with the offender. I can see his point.

I can see his point.this is why, at least in florida, we don't require them to press charges anymore...too many are afraid to. if, in our judgement, there has been abuse we can arrest. and make it stick.
