I hired a teen to care take the 2 cats and 2 dogs..........She is only 15...............

The house was filled with dog and cat urine and feces when we got back. The worst 2 things that happened was the puppy was sleeping in 3 days of **** in her night cage......that could only mean she had been in her cage over 12 hours a day and it was never cleaned - the second thing was a cat diarrhea that soaked into the the hardwood floor...........it went un-noticed.

Since the girl obviously didn't do the job that you paid her to do - I sure hope you didn't pay her!

I would be furious!

i would be furious too. i hope you did not pay her. i would go off the deep end if someone treated my puffer that way.

have you ever thought about boarding them out at the vets. cost more , but they are taken care of. and fed and watered and given time to play.

I would have thought a 15 y/o could handle that but I guess not?

That pisses me off to hear about the puppy laying in filth!!! I'd have a talk with her for sure.

A 15-yr old could have easily handled that job if they had put any effort into caring for the animals, which this teen obviously did not. I would either refuse payment or have taken pictures and/or to show her parents and demand my money back. You should also blacklist her to all your friends. Scary thing is she may babysit children.

When we got home I let the pup sleep outside of her cage........DUH!!!!! The pup could not leave our bedroom - poor baby wanted on the bed soooooooooo bad. Yanna was glad we were home. She could barely settle down all night.

I brought the teen over to the house and pointed out the "problems". She will never be hired again - I did pay her. The next time we go on vaca I will hire the house/pet sitters. It is only $50.00 a day to have your pets caretaken and your house looked after. Peace of mind is worth more than that.

What a nightmare, I am so sorry that your pup had to go through that...My parents take their "princess pug" to a Vet/Boarding facility and she (the dog--who thinks she's a person) absolutely LOVES it...she gets a bath and a manicure before Mommy and Daddy pick her up from her "vacation"....But they had to go through a bad experience to find a good one...it's hard to find people to care for your pets and children the way you would, but they are out there...I hope puppy is okay now!

Our pup is OK now...........thanks for the tip on a boarding facility. My children would never been left in the care of a neighbor or stranger...........point taken.

Well I was wrong AGAIN.............

I always thought Kayla was 40-45 pounds.............NOT..............we got her on a scale and she is 65 pounds. Our "pup" is 40 pounds at 5 months old. So how big is this "beagle X" going to get???

I always thought my Rotty was overweight at 85 pounds but she was 1/4 again the size of Kayla. Kayla is 12.5 years old......not fat.......still running the fence........so the heck with the vet. Actually the vet said she was very fit for her age.
