So what's been going on in your world??

I've been busy and haven't been around to post or read much. So just wanted to see what was going on in everyone's world.

As for me I've read the latest trilogy from Nora Roberts. It was filled with vampires, witches, and romance. Great combination and great read in my opinion. I've also joined a site to help me be more motivated in working on my photoshop skills. I'm in a 2 week mentor program and so far I've placed a frog on top of the White House. :o

Oh and I've defiantly have a diva on my hands. Yesterday a lady asked my daughter what her name was. My daughter's reply was princess. :yh_doh

You made me laugh when you said you put a frog on top of the white house! :wah: I thought *what is she doing?!* That was funny.



Does your daughter have those shirts and stuff that say "princess" or did she just come up with that? :D



Clancy, that sounds like really good advice and was nice how you said it. I hope you had a great birthday. :)



I voted yesterday. I always enjoy that. My family came down from CA for a couple of days and I got to see them.



I have my eye on a digital camera with 7.0 megapixels! They make one with 8 too, but this 7.0 is only (well, I don't mean "only") $79 at Walmart. Can't recall the brand, it's nothing famous, yet it has all the features I'd want.



I really don't have a lot to report on over here but I'll enjoy reading everyone else!

whats the site cheryl? me & chocoholic got photoshop dvd's from e-bay but no instructions & then we found some tutorial links but - well they're not really for beginners

On the home front my other half slipped & fell in the bath breaking it so we had to go get a new suite but it cant be fitted for a month !!

ive only got two weeks to work then ive got a week off yey, we've got tickets to see pink on the tuesday of my holidays, looking forward to that :-6

Well, I've just been confirmed as a candidate for next year's town council elections.



I'm deciding whether to continue running my business or not, mainly for health reasons I may have to give up.



I'm looking after my grandson this afternoon whilst my hubby and step-daughter go to dig a grave(!) and then again tomorrow when they fill it in after the funeral.



I've bought two christmas presents - for my nephews aged 5 and 8 - pirates of the caribbean swords so they can beat the sh1t out of their dad (my brother)



And I'm fairly content with my lot in life.



Totally agree with Clancy by the way, if your partner is not your friend too then your bu**ered!

RedGlitter- yea she has a shirt with princess on it. But everyone calls her princess, so I guess it's stuck in her head.

Haha Flopstock, you'll love the third book. I love her books, and I've read some of her others under J.D. Robb. Other authors that I love to read are Fern Michaels(her books usually bout southern people), and Maeve Binchy.

Yes but it was his idea!! I love having nephews, it means I can buy all the noisy annoying boy toys and not have to put up with them. They find it hard to reciprocate 'cos I have girls. Haha

Quite a lot as it happens .....sold house in September......moved to rented flat on my own......reached retirement age.....sorted out pensions and now know what my income will be in the future.....decided I don't like 'renting' ....decided I can't live without a garden / patio / balcony.......looking for somewhere to buy........phew - I'm exhausted ! :D

Oh I think it's been quite obvious what I have been up to.

I guess I can offer up good news on my dad, he is doing ok, starts cardio treatments early December. He should be able to drive within the next couple days, pity he can not take his vacatin to Mexico, but in a greedy way I am glad as they get to spend christmas with their new great grand son. We all get to go up and see him Sunday :)

Of course how could anyone miss the big event, the birth of my cutie patootie grand son, and both mommy and baby are doing well. Jr Minks is crazy about her little nephew.

Work is as always very busy, we plan to hire support staff for us here up front yipee I am glad cause some of the grunt work is so time consuming for us. I look forward to that.

And that is about it for now.

My car is in the shop for an oil change and detailing

It should look as good as a 1998 Acura can look, I would think ;)

Tomorrow night, hubby and I are going to a photography exhibit of a friend of ours. The friend is really excited about his work being shown with other, more famous photogs. My hubby thinks we should buy a picture but I'm not sure I want to spend $200 on a photograph when his friend already gives us pictures for free. We shall see . . .

Friday my sis and bro-in-law (hubby's sister) will be sleeping over. They live about one hour away so we don't get to see them often. We'll drink, eat and laugh. It'll be fun.

Saturday night I'm going to dinner with another couple to a kind of hip, trendy restaurant. I like restaurants like this but I don't like paying over $100 per couple, which is what will probably happen. That's why I don't do it too often.

And Sunday

I have all to myself :p
