I Might Have Done Something Bad

Post by Nomad »

Theres a kid at work I like to goof on. Hes a good guy and I like him a lot. We all recieved notices

in our mailboxes about a meeting on new health insurance policies. On his notice I wrote "Dewey, I need you here at 3am tomorrow" and I signed the bosses name.

Were not open at 3am and it was ridiculous, thats why I wrote it, to be ridiculous. No one would give it a second thought. Except him. He showed up at 3am and of course the place was locked up tight. He was kinda sorta mad at me after he figured out what happened.

I tried calling him at home but no answer.

Did I do bad ?

that's a toss up, dude.

either he's Really pissed. really pissed.

or he's thinking up some way to get even.

Personally, i'd be laughing and trying to come up with some way to get even.

Aww...if he knows all your other teasing is in fun, then I would think you could work this out soon. I might be mad too at first, but in the end if I knew you were really a friend then I would get over it and probably laugh about it. I mean there are far worse pranks you could have played! Maybe wait a day and offer to take him out for a meal to make up for it. And apologize. I hear guys don't like to do that, but I think it always makes a bigger person, myself. :)

Kind of sad Nomad

that he would actually believe the note. I would do something nice for him if I were you. You are the one who knows the guy......some people would laugh something like that off. I wouldn't be too happy getting up for 3 a.m. on a prank but I would stay friends with you.:-6 :-4

He'd have to be smacked for being stupid, to not suspect anything done now. He does any of your suggestions the kids gonna need three years of therapy for the paranoia:D

maybe the Garden's gotten a little more sadistic, Flopps. they want the kid paranoid.

If this little weenie is really bent out of shape over this, DEFINITELY pull another prank on his pansy ass! What a bonehead to fall for something so blatantly obvious. Pfffft. :yh_eyebro :yh_eyebro

oh namad you is bad :wah:

i had a young lad a couple of years ago working for me at 17 his mom used to kiss him good bye every morning when i used to pick him up in the van

his mom used to make him a packed lunch every day with the sarnies cut into triangles you get the picture total spod

we were at the the builders yard and i told him the spirit level bubble had burst could he get a new one from the old grumpy git that gave every one grief from behind the counter

we were watching crying with laughter as he asked he came back sayin the guy shouted at me which one do you want the tarten one or the spotted one we said the spotted one i could hardley breath as he went up again he came back sayin the guy has put it on order

then we said to him we need a long weight can you see if he has any

he came back and the grumpy guy said is 30 minutes long enough

honest i'm crying with laughter just thinking about it

the next time we were there he still asked for a tin of striped paint :wah:

When I was a kid my dad was a huge practical joker and I was a gullible young eegit, so he was always sending me to the hardware store to buy sky hooks, glass hammers, long stands, or to the newagents to get tomorrows paper, the downside was the humiliation, anger, violence, tears, the upside was the laughter, and the fact that I learned not to always be so trusting! He was a good dad! :wah:

im wondering how old he is & what position in your company he holds that he could be so gullible

i mean if he's young (still at home) wouldent his parents have said (dont be so bloody silly, who'd have a meeting at 3 am)

he must have held you in high esteem to do it without thinking, i doubt he does now :sneaky:

Oooh you are in for it now Nomad, I'm sure he is out for revenge. My advice just watch out if he offers to get you a cup of coffee! :D

Still he is somewhat foolish to really think that he would be wanted at 3am, but hey he is young and will have learnt from this I'm sure.

In the Air Force we made newbies go find 50 yards of flight line (the flightline is the tarmac runway) :-6

Sometimes at the end of the day we'd look around at each other: "Did you get the keys?" "I didn't get the keys. The new guy got the keys." "New Guy, where are the keys?" "What keys?" "The keys to the plane. You mean you left the keys in the ignition?!? You'd better go get 'em!"

Of course aircraft don't have ignition keys. :yh_rotfl

I love a good joke. Both ways. I can dish it out, and I can take it. If it's meant to be funny that is. Nomad, I'm glad things worked out.
