Yes Ma'am! I do use my seatbelt and I don't drive but if I did, you would not see me yapping on my cell! That makes me livid to see that! My friend does it all the time while we're driving and I keep having to tell her to knock it off. Worse, she's always telling me about bunnies she's run over and she denies it, but I KNOW it's partly because she's on that $@!#&* cell phone!!

I don't think I would want to drive if I didn't have my seatbelt on, I crashed once and if I hadn't had the belt on I think I would be driving on that big racing track in the sky. So no, I never drive without it on. :)

Oh my, please wear your seatbelt guppy, its so dangerous not to, its not till you've been in a crash that you realize how easy it is to get killed or badly hurt, really, even with airbags and all that.

thak u for your concern galbally. i have very limited vision. i have to be able to turn around and look down the whole side of my car before i change lanes. i cant do that with a seatbelt. so i take the risk. :D

it's either that or dont drive at all. .............

It really suprises me just how many people don't wear a seat belt . Its the children i worry about - ive seen cars with 3 or 4 kids jumping around in the back and if anything happened they wouldn't stand a chance :( Maybe now its compulsary for kids to be strapped into a size appropriate child seat there will be fewer accidents - heres hoping

I always wear mine both for safety as an example to my son. Statistically in the US most traffic fatalities are caused by someone being ejected from the vehicle. A seat belt and locked doors will keep everyone inside during a crash..

Always wear my seatbelt. I also talk on the cell phone while driving at times. There is no law against that yet in Nova Scotia. If it becomes law I will abide.

And everyone in my car has to wear one.

Or they're not staying in my car :driving:

Absolutely YES I always wear the seatbelt. I insist on everyone buckling up, too. In fact, my car has this really irritating boing-boing if it senses weight on the seat and the belt is not buckled

And absolutely NEVER talk on the cell while driving. I am sure we wouldn't survive! Can't seem to manage it.

It's pretty much like any other medium size midwest American city. The people here are very friendly. It seems the sports people i.e. hockey players, minor league baseball players etc.etc. that come and play here seem to end up settling here. My cousin married a player from the hockey team who was from New York City, He said he couldn't believe how nice people were here. If you need something all you have to do is ask and its done. Now dont get me wrong we have the usual gang hot spots and such but they pretty much stay in the northern part of the city.

I didnt regularly wear my seatbelt until about two years ago. My older brother was t-boned. he wasnt wearing his seatbelt and he got pretty messed up. He stayed that way for about 9 months. Since then i've always worn and will wear my seat belt.

As for talking on the phone while driving. Im guilty. I try to only talk while im going straight and i always put the phone down when i make a turn.

The poolhall's a great equalizer. In the poolhall, nobody cares how old you are, how young you are, what color your skin is or how much money you've got in your pocket... It's about how you move. I remember this kid once who could move around a pool table like nobody had ever seen. Hour after hour, rack after rack, his shots just went in. The cue was part of his arm and the balls had eyes. And the thing that made him so good was... He thought he could never miss. I know, 'cause that kid was me.

I am guilty of it as well.

As of now, Massachusetts does not yet have a 'hands-free' cell phone policy for driving.

I think it's a great idea. But it's probably even better if people pulled their cars over to use the phone.

I buckle up for safety...

Buckle up for safety

Buckle up!

Put your mind at ease

Buckle up for safety everybody

BUCKLE UP!!

;)

I never even hear the "ding" in my truck because I buckle up even

before I turn the key.

As for cell phones, there's massive abuse of those. I only use mine

on RARE occasions for a QUICK call. "Honey I'm stuck I'll be there

about 15 mins late" or something. I don't think anybody should have

long conversations, hands free or not.

But Cher, pulling over on the freeway can be MORE dangerous than

talking. Unless you can take an exit onto a surface street or something.

If I had to, I'd just make my call, rather than pull to the shoulder o9n

the freeway!!

According to tests run by the TRL, using a hands-free set is very nearly as bad

as using an "ordinary" 'phone (which has been likened to the risk from drink-

driving). The issue is not lack of control so much as lack of concentration!
