ALBANY - The Court of Appeals yesterday upheld the constitutionality of a women's health act that pressures some religious-affiliated employers to either offer their employees a prescription plan that includes contraceptive coverage or deny their workers any drug coverage at all.

I know what you mean, Val...but it gives people a choice in working or not working there. The hypocricy of allowing insurance for some drugs and not others (due to an arbitrary interpretation of "morality") is infuriating. If they don't want to offer health coverage, they can deal with fewer people wanting to work for them.

It's amazing to me that plans wouldn't cover birth control of all types,
I had one years ago with total coverage of an abortion if you needed
it but NOT my BCP's.
Uhm, guys... how much more do you think you're going to have to
shell out for abortions versus BCP's? HELLO!

Set aside the birth control issue and consider that BCPs have valid uses other than just the obvious. I suppose vasectomies and tubal ligations are out, too?
