Post by Carl44 »

can one just humour old jimbo just 5 mins here

imagine if you have children something really bad happens say like a death i know its too horible for most of you to even think about but if you can imagine it, now any of you still here imagine this death has sent your partner to another country to be with friends and family where you cant go

so you bring up your remaining child as a single paerent till she is 5 the ex takes her away

now imagine your child has been taken the grief the pain the not knowing where that child is tho whole thing really imagine it, imagine how you would cry the pain in your chest , the birthdays ,christmas easter other kids playing etc .... now for 11 seconds feel it just 11 seconds feel the hurt... now try 11 minutes....11 hours......11 days.....11 weeks....11 months .... i have had this killing me from the inside out for 11 long horrible years

now late last night i got the ok from the usa for my little girl to spend christmas with me its the greatest christmas present i could ever will ever have and i,m over joyed

but i cant help thinking of a little lad not much younger than my daughter lying in a hospice after a long hard fight having now lost his fight for precouse life soon to die right on christmas...what is fate doing to my life after me not having my girl in my life .. she is soon to be in it hopefully forever

my friend paddy having his son in his life his soon gone forever

so as you eat your christmas dinner this year spare a thought for paddy and all the paddys everywhere whose lives are gone forever give your kids a big hug and tell them how much you love them and think how very very lucky you are i know i will be.. Christmas is not all about the presents and food its all about having our loved ones in our lives all too easy to forget now while your trying to find the latest 360 playstation mega box mark 3 or whatever the latest must have thing for kids is

who would of thought that a man like me who can not read and wright that well can send his thoughts and feelings all over the world and get the greatest support and acts of kindness from people that in real life i will never meet

who would of thought old plain ordinary jimbo who has nothing could help other people so much and i am the only person that could of helped these people

honestly it feels like god has thought well jimbo you have helped out these and not only these for i do whatever i can to help any one now as a reward you can have your daughter back what a strange life i've had

a very very strange life:-3

thanks to every one that sent me pm's last week it was touching thanks

Jimbo,

You are a shining star. A real class act. I mean that from my heart. I will take your message to heart, for it's the truth.

I don't think any of us mortals have what it takes to understand why bad things happen to good people. I do believe there's a reason for every single thing that happens to us, good and bad, I just have no way of knowing what it is.

I am so happy you will get to see your daughter! This is really great news!

You know, you are a very likeable guy, Jimbo. With the way you come across here in the Garden, I envy the people who get to know you in real life. You may describe yourself as ordinary but I don't think so. Not with the heart, compassion and sense of humor you have. :) You are an asset to FG.

Jimbo you sod - yet again you've brought a lump to my throat and a tear to my eye.

I'm so happy for you and echo the thoughts of the others who have posted - you deserve happiness.

I hope that you all have a wonderful Christmas, and I hope that I can remember what you have said amongst the chaos that is our Christmas!

I shall also be thinking of your friend and his son. A very dear friend of mine's son is battling cancer at the moment although the prognosis is good for him it's still painful to see how his family is affected.

Big hug to you all.

Jimbo...it's been said before I know, but you are a :yh_star .

My brother and sister have both had cancer and survived although my sister is still going through the after affects of radiotherapy.

I have 3 children (grown up) who have always been helathy and 7 healthy grandchildren too. Yes we've had a few broken bones but I have never directly had to suffer the pain of losing a child. I have however had friends and family who have gone through it and I guess the one thing that they need 'outside' of their own tragedy, is normality, so don't hold back on your good news. Your freinds know how much you deserve some happiness.

What Bez says is true! Twice my daughter was close to death, and one of those times she was on a life support machine and the doctors told us she wouldn't make it - but miracles happen! She survived, Thank God! :yh_pray

People often don't know what to say or how to express themselves - and so they say nothing! My very best friend listened to me sobbing down the phone to her from the hospitals ICU and said sadly "I don't know what to say" no words can express how you feel but just to know that I could howl down the phone to her and she would listen to me helped a huge amount!

Also, when you're drowning in major sorrows it really helps to have friends who care and who share their lives with you. When you spend 24 hours a day waiting for the worst and talking to doctors and nurses, a little bit of good news is a welcome distraction - it shows you the whole world isnt as grim and dire as your little hospital-bound world appears to you at that point!

Share your good news with him Jimbo. It will help, even if you don't think it will. I'm sure one day he'll thank you for keeping him rooted in 'normalcy'. :yh_hugs

Hi Buttercup,

Chantelle is coming over for the holiday period to meet all the family, She is still in full time education, she is due to leave school next year. When she leaves she is talking about coming over for good, she has a boyfriend that she has been with for over two years, and he is a really nice stable guy who helps and loves Chantelle to bits, so i'm not sure what will happen, it really will be up to Chantelle and what she wants to do.

Jim and i got together 10 years ago, we have 6 children between us, Jim has two boys from his first wife, then he had two daughters but he lost one daughter, then he had a daughter with his last girlfriend before me, i have two from my relationship before Jim. It's a long story but i lost a pregnacy at 17 weeks 8 years ago, then a few years ago i had an eptopic but the dr messed up my surgery and took the wrong parts out!! So if we want any more it's the IVF route for us. Wake up, wake up, i bet your glad you asked :sneaky: :wah:

How bout you, whats your story???

Don't you just love em

My children are 10 and 11 and all i seem to do is run them around everywhere, they've got a far busier social life than me, i really must get myself a life!!! It's funny coz Jim and i have been talking and we was saying we don't know what we'll do when the kids leave, just imagine all that extra time and money

i have just finished work and had to go to the supermarket to the chemist bit there to get medicine for sue's back , i had a 20 minute wait

so i went shopping for a few bits

i saw this very pretty young woman sobbing away

and then she smiled at me and i realised i knew her from about 8 years ago

it turns out that she has had a hard time lately her boyfriend just dumped her and she is really down

i cant go into too much detail but she had a serious car crash and a horrible time with an abusive stepfather i took about 20 minutes and turned on the old jimbo happy chat and soon had her cheeered up and beaming from ear to ear

i also recomended f g to her for i know you guys will be nice and loving to her

i will also keep in touch with her she is related to sue somehow and i know when she gets better she will keep an eye out ,there is much more sadness to this tale but i feel its not my place to tell it

strange i was in exactly the right place at exactly the right time again:-3

there is a woman i know that has had so much tragedy in her life yet she is always happy and nice to everyone

she really inspires me

me i'm just too selfish to be miserable i'd rather be happy it takes a bit of work but its well worth it

besides how could i annoy you guys with my crap jokes if i was a miserable git

mind you sitting here all alone sue upstairs passed out on strong medication

the kids are round her moms

kind of makes you think and it suddenly hits you hard like a ton of bricks
