Later, when I was 28, and totally destitute, I found a wallet with $800 in it. I took the $800 and left the wallet where I found it. I paid my rent (keeping myself from becoming homeless that very week) and bought food, and fixed my car, so that I could get a job. I told myself "The Lord will provide." and never gave it another thought. (I have a funny conscience that way.)
If I was to find one now, I'd turn it in again. I have money and a good career now.
Apparently, my morals fluctuate to fit my financial situation. Oh well!
Desperate times mean desperate measures Jives we can forgive you for it.
