Why?

I want to know why it is that when something goes wrong in someones life, everything else seems to just fall apart?

I am not saying this so much on my behaf but more on moms. (Minks) After everything she is going threw with her ex.....now this?? WHY?

I just got off the phone with mom a little while ago and she told me that my grampa(her father) is in the hospital. They took him in this morning because he was complaining of chest pains. They say it is not a heartatack but it is some sort of heart problem. The thing that bothers me the most is that I am sitting here at home and they are in another province. They are making papa stay in the hospital for 24 hours to be supervised than they may transfer him here. They will not let my mom and Grama transfer him, the hospital people have to. ERGH this just bothers me so much. My mother is such a great person and lately all this crap has been happenning to her!! I HATE IT!! She does not deserve to be upset!!

Im sorry I had to vent somewhere. The b/f sucks at this stuff.

You're right about her you know. She is the greatest! When I first got here there was one of our fights going on and she was one of the first folks to PM me. basiclly told me not to get my shorts in a bunch...they always blow over..:wah:

And indeed I will let you guys know and keep you updated. I know she is a bit of a mess right now. I could not talk to her long because I called her cell and she was waiting on news herself. She is supposed to call me when they are transfering papa home. Well home to a hospital here at least. It bothers me to no end that they give us no information. As soon as mom calls me Im sure you will all get an update just because normally mom is my rock and mom is the one I vent to. But with her being in the same position its a little hard to do so and I just dont want to add more stress to her right now.

Mom had told me not to worrie so I do not put any stress or anything on baby but I meen how can she expect me not to!! Hes my grampa!!

Sometimes when it rains it pours.!!

Your grandfather is at the best/safest place to observe and handle any problem he may have. Hospital have to transfer patients from location to location.

Information comes with all tests, which are slow unfortunetly. Just know he is as comfortable as possible and in no pain. Wait for tests results, think positive for

your grandfather and all family members.

Get some rest, take care and keep FG posted

This is SO true Babies! Life always kicks you when you're down! But as Patsy says, your Grampa is in the best place for him right now. You can be a rock for your mom by showing her how calm you are and by taking care of yourself. That would be a huge weight off her mind as she can concentrate on looking out for her own mom and dad knowing that you're being calm and sensible and not freaking out so she has to worry about you too.

I know its hard to do, so rant and rave to us, keep us updated and let us know if we can do anything to help! Be brave! The last few months you've had to grow up a lot and will continue to do so in the months to come. When things like this happen you realise that your parents don't always have all the answers and they're not as powerful as you think they are when you're growing up.

I'm sorry if I sound like I'm preaching. I met your mom in May and know what a wonderful person she is. Just being calm and being there for her will ease her mind more than you may realise. Hugs to you sweetie and a pat on your bump to baby. :yh_hugs :-6

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!

Lastnight was hard but the boyfriend and the room mates were a huge help. As were all of you guys, and like I said huge thank yous to you all.

Tonight mom should be calling me to update me than I will be sure to do the same for you all.

I am doing better this morning than I was lastnight and the good nights sleep I got lastnight has alot to do with that. As does all of you guys being so supportive. I have been trying extremely hard not to worrie so much about this because the last mom told me was that papa is doing alright they just wanted to keep him for 24 hours so watch over him and stuff. Baby is doing good to I just hope he gets here soon. He was moving around ALOT lastnight after I talked to mom. I swear he is very smart. He moves as soon as I even think about eating food lol. And also when he knows something is wrong or going on.

Thank you so much Cher!! Im sure mom will you need tyou all just as much if not more than I do. I tried so hard to keep it together for her lastnight but it was just so darn hard.

I've been missing something here but I don't like what I'm hearing!

If someone is giving Minks grief then they need sorting out - Minks is too good a person to have that.

Babies_Mama, I'm saddened to hear of your Granddad's illness - especially at a time of trouble for the family - but the hospitals know what they're doing and it sounds like he's caught it early so he should bounce back as strong as ever.

You say your mom's been your rock - now you'll have to support each other, but be sure that you'll both get all the support we can give.

Im beginning to stress a little bit. Mom has not yet called. She told me she was going to call tonight with an update and so far nothing. I do not want to call her because it will cost to much but it would be nice to know what is going on. I am working on keeping my cool but BAH!!:-5 :-1

Mom should be back sometime today and they are transfering papa to a hospital here, tomorrow. They are still unsure as to what is happenning with him but they think it was a heart attack. EEEEEK Mom, Im sure will have more info soon.

Hi Gang, I am back at work.

My dad is in a small town hospital 3 hours away. They can't let him go home with us because he had a " cardiac incident" they are keeping a close eye on him, while they await word from Calgary to transfer him up here by ambulance. He is showing improvement, but tests have to be done before he can go back home. The hospital is lovely the nurses adore dad, he is a card. He has the worst room mates from hell and he looked so dam sad everytime mom and I would leave him

First nite he called us at the hotel begging mom to come back and stay with him

Broke my heart.

Hopes are the drive him home tomorrow.

Thank you all for the kind words and support and being there for BBmama. I am crappy company I am cranky, tired, sad, pissed off, and just all round unpleasant.

Seems a few other family issues happened over this past week and weekend and I have them to face shortly as well.

Ahh isn't life grand.
