If there's no evidence that would satisfy a court of law (rather than the media) then maybe he was innocent?

I talked to my mother about this case, and she feels he admitted to a famous crime only to escape the justice system in Thailand, as well as they're prison systems. I actually found it pretty logical(Only through empathy as opposed to sympathising).

Of course the other alternative is that hes a complete nutcase.

Either wouldn't surprise me, and its rather sad society has come to this, if it has actually changed at all from the evolution of world wide media.

I'm sorry, I should have made clear, this was his child porn case here

in Sonoma County, Calif.

The sheriff's office lost evidence, couldn't document chain of evidence,

and also the ex-wife apparently said that the computer in question

hadn't worked since 1998.

But now this guy doesn't even have to register as a sex offender.

I say send him back to Bangkok!!

I thought he was charged with something in Thailand though....

I didnt know he had a case against him in California....wow....the sheer number of accusations should be enough to put this nutjob somewhere far from society. (Yeah, yeah -- inoccent until proven guilty --I still wouldnt trust him as far as I could throw him)

Well atleast his face has been all over the press. Whereever he moves, I'm sure he won't get a warm welcome. or atleast I hope that's the case.

Makes the authorities job soooo easy - don't like someone, call in a few favours, make a few accusations. Never need to prove them, just the accusations alone are enough.

As fast as we can -- let him be tried in the Thailand justice system for alleged crimes he committed there.

Colorado can still charge him with obstruction of justice for confessing to a crime he didnt commit. I would think they would also sue him for travel costs and man hrs involved in extraditing him.

I don't think so, Sweet Pea. They had him on warrants and asked Thai

police to detain him... and he didn't actually confess to murder.

Did any of you hear what this nutjob did after being released in Sonoma

County? Went to a school where he used to work in SF and "peered in

windows and tried locked doors". He was briefly detained by SFPD but

my God... can you imagine?
