*Other* meet-ups?

Is there a list somewhere? Is this a regular thing, or is it just someone getting a burr under their saddle and saying, hey, let's get together?

I'd love to do something here in the Midwest...someplace in Michigan, or northwest Ohio, or somewhere in Indiana...anybody know of one?

It's a very informal affair that simmers under the surface until two or three people finally say yes, this place on this day and everyone else piles in and says OK, count me in.

Where in Michigan do you live Erinna??

I live in Dayton, Ohio....

about 55 miles north of Cincinnati, and the Ohio River.

The Michigan border is only about a three hour drive for me....I have been up there once.....about 50 miles west of Detroit.

April is a hopeful meet up in Las Vegas, more details come the new year.

I'm familiar with Cedar Point in Ohio, but I'm not familiar with Cedar Rapids....

I think of Iowa when I think Cedar Rapids.

Cedar Point is an amusement park in north Ohio(Sandusky I believe). If there is a Cedar Rapids in Ohio it would be the first I have heard of it.

Cedar Point is on my vacation list for next summer.

I'm on the east side of the near north suburbs...just north of Detroit. Cincinnati isn't far at all :)

So how does a get-together like this get planned? A couple people just say "hey, I'm gonna be at on " and people just show?

makes me think of Iowa too since that's where I live....and I was trying to figure out where on earth there was a roller coaster here in CR...:thinking:

Well, for me, getting to go to a meet-up is financially out of the question at this time. But I would be very willing to host a gardener who is just passing through Rochester for a day or a weekend!!
