BRs mom asked me to do this..

I was thinking the same thing....

Everyone is going to send her PM after PM and she will just be too overwhelmed....

Maybe think about sending only one PM to her until she is able to get to, and respond to each of everyones PM before sending another.....Also It may take her a while to respond to everyones PM due to there being so many....

Just a suggestion

K.Snyder wrote: I was thinking the same thing....Hey, this is BR we're talking about, we can't give her any easy options. I think we should try to pass her PM limit before she gets here, that's only 4000 messages and there's enough of us if we try hard.

Anyone want to bet it's over half full already?

Me, too! Perhaps she's sleeping. I've decided to hold off on the PMs. I think it'd be too overwhelming to see hundreds of them in the box, knowing I'd never get through them.

I talked to her mom this morning. She was home and in bed by 6 last night, only woke up once. She got up this morning, got ready for her doctors appointment and was taking a short nap in the chair while they waited until it was time to leave.

Probably the best thing for her. Hospital sleep is just not the same as home sleep, wouldn't you agree?

And that's it from this reporter kids. Anything else, you get from her when she gets back here.

It's been less then fun, this role I took on for the last month or so. I've always been really big on personal privacy. I live my life to avoid emotional ups and downs... so this was a real learning experience for this girl.

I want to thank my own personal backup squad.. Carla, Valerie, LC, Cher and Nomad. It was a great relief to know that these folks and their ears were available. There were times I could not say things to you folks in here, that I knew it was safe to say to them. Because they really 'get me', I had a safety-valve.

They say that something good comes from everything. Well, I got to meet pinky and lilacdragon and her baby... and I formed a bond with someones mother that would not have been formed but for this horrific moment in time.

That bond will last a lifetime, I'm thinking....

Who knew?

hugs

WTG, Floppy. You have done a grand job. We are all eternally indebted and grateful to you for taking on this role as go-between between MamaRider and FG.

Tell MamaRider to pop in here herself every now and then. She'd be made really welcome. And we can tell her what fine daughters she has.

Good on yer, Floppy. Thanks.

Sometimes, really wonderful things come from the worst times! So, Floppy, it seems as if that's what's happend for you.

And for us, I think, since we've all pulled together recently, haven't we?

Being an introvert I appreciate your sentiment but I must disagree - you've earned your place on the inside and you're now part of the clan - whether you like it or not!

And Flopstar, your place goes without saying - thank you for all you've done.

Hear, hear! Thanks, Flops <---doesn't begin to cover it :)

I feel a little out of it...I got a job (yay) which prevented me from being there at the hospital (boo). So I'm not in the thick of it anymore. I just hope there's some way I can take some of this continuing stress off my mother...*sigh*
