Nancy Grace - Killer Griller
Melinda Duckett's 2 year old son was reported abducted from his crib in his bedroom. Two weeks after filing the missing person's report, Ms Duckett found herself reeling in an TV interview with the famously prosecutorial Nancy Grace. Before the interview was over, Ms Grace was pounding on her desk loudly demanding to know: "Where were you? Why aren't you telling us where you were that day?" The day after that harsh interview, Ms Duckett shot herself to death! The police did not reveal if a note was left behind.

cars, you know how I feel about Nancy Grace. So I dont have much to say I guess, except, this is tragic. I saw the entire broadcast and I dont think Nancy was as hardsh as she is being prtrayed to be. She asked the girl 4 times if she took a polygraph and she wouldnt answer. I'd be suspicious too.

Unfortunately, I did not see the broadcast, I just saw this in the paper today. In the article, they never mentioned anything about the polygraph. It will be interesting to see what develops, if anything, & how it turns out!
But you do have to admit, that NG is a killer-griller! (Kind of just made up that catchy monica myself) Once She takes a bite, she never lets go!!!

I was in another room when Rick was watching a segment about this on MSNBC yesterday. I heard the interview of the mom by NG. but was not able to see the mom's reactions.
I always thought NG was a bit on the strong side, and have never really been a fan of hers. But I, also do not feel that she alone was responsible for the suicide. It is *possible* the interview was the last straw for the lady..the thing that broke her. But I do not feel NG should be blamed.

melinda refused to cooperate with local police. i do not believe for one minute nancy grace is responsible. melinda had been baker-acted before for threatening suicide. none of her stories make sense......tonight an alligator trapper is going to kill some large gators in that area and slit open their bellies to see if any human remains are present.

You know, and if she knows something, which I am starting to believe she did, its her fault that those 20 divers are putting their lives in danger. How hard is it to remember where you were? When traumatic things happen, you remember, HELLO! EXAMPLE: Kennedy's assasination, Sept 11????

Here's an update on the search for Trenton Duckett:
Police Say Melinda Duckett Wrote Another Suicide Note
LEESBURG, Fla. -- Police are busy going over new tips in the search for Trenton Duckett, including another suicide note written by the boy's mother.
On Monday afternoon, the Marion County Sheriff's Office said teams have been sent to various locations in the county to follow up on four new leads.
The sheriff's office said they are searching "possible grave site locations," including the Ocala National Forest. Investigators said the tips were generated from this weekend's "America's Most Wanted."
Also, investigators said Monday they are analyzing videotapes from 21 different surveillance cameras.
Leesburg police said so far, the videotapes they've been reviewing did not capture any images of Melinda or Trenton Duckett. The tapes all came from surveillance cameras at businesses.
In other developments, Leesburg police said Monday that Melinda Duckett left behind another suicide note in addition to the two-page note that investigators released over the weekend. (Click here to read page 1 of the note and click here to read page 2). Police have not released the new note, which they found in her car, but they characterized it as a suicide note.
Just before she committed suicide, Melinda Duckett wrote a letter addressed to the public, describing her angst over rumors about her possible involvement in the disappearance of Trenton. Police released that note to the public on Saturday.
Leesburg Police Department Capt. Ginny Padgett read from the note on Saturday.
"I'm sorry this is short. Usually I plan things out and am better with my writing," the note said. "Your focus came off of my son. I love him and only wanted him safe in my arms."
Trenton's father, Joshua Duckett, read the two-page letter outside the Leesburg Police Department, hoping it might provide some clues that could lead him to his son. He said he was encouraged by one line in which Melinda Duckett mentioned something about Trenton growing up.
"He was and always will be my essence and as he grows, I want him to know that," Melinda Duckett wrote in the second part of the note. It was not addressed to anyone specifically.
Joshua Duckett has not seen the newly discovered note. He said he can imagine what she wrote based on what he read when they were together.
"I've seen them, and a lot of them, in my eyes, are kind of odd, but I can't really elaborate on that right now," he said. "The note that they released Saturday said: 'When he grows up,' so that gave us more hope. That's that much more drive to keep going, and we just want everyone to keep their eyes out and keep looking."
Investigators also said they found blood stains in her car but that there was not enough to indicate any sort of criminal act or violent struggle.
Police also released the 911 call made the night Trenton was reported missing.
"How long has he been gone?" the 911 dispatcher asked Melinda.
"I don't know. I was watching a movie that was two-hours long. I checked on him before anyone came down to the house," she said.
Meanwhile, Trenton's story aired nationally on "America's Most Wanted," and as a result of that show, at least 40 tips have come in to authorities. Police said one caller mentioned an acquaintance of Melinda Duckett, who lives in Lake County and could provide helpful information.
"Obviously, if we haven't interviewed this person, it could bring some new information to light for us, and we would encourage people to let the law enforcement and investigators decide if you know something credible or not," Leesburg Police Department Capt. Steve Rockefeller said.
Trenton's disappearance is also mentioned in this week's US Weekly, an entertainment magazine. It focuses on Melinda Duckett's interview with CNN's Nancy Grace.
Officials are still examining phone records and Melinda Duckett's computer for evidence, but so far they have found nothing. They said they want anyone who may have spoken to her during the time between Trenton's reported disappearance and her Sept. 8 suicide to contact them.
If those people don't come forward, investigators have subpoenaed phone records to go after them.
"Anybody that spoke with Melinda during that time frame, we're probably going to be reaching out to them in one way or another, and we would like folks to give us a call about their conversation with her during that time frame," Rockefeller said.
Anyone with any information is urged to call 800-CALL-FBI or 800-423-TIPS.
There is a $5,000 reward for information, and on Monday afternoon, the Trenton Duckett Trust Fund announced a $5,000 addition to that reward for any information that leads to the return of the 2-year-old boy.

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.
I'd rather have thirty minutes of wonderful than a lifetime of nothing special.

Did you all know that CNN aired the interview after the woman killed herself. Anything for ratings..

You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say will be misquoted, then used against you.
Nancy Grace - Killer Griller
she showed more concern for her personal welfare than for her child... i find that disturbing.
