The serious body builder type that does this kind of thing is concerned with their weight I think. I notice a few people doing this at my gym. I think it has to do with their diets and workout regiments in some way. Although I find it funny myself. Ill do it sometime and see if there is really any difference, from whe I start to when I finish. It usually takes me 1 1/2 hrs. to do my workout. Ill let you know if there is any change in my weight that soon.

I would imagine they are watching water weight loss... human body can
get rid of a lot in a workout through perspiration, etc., and they might
want to know how much fluids to replace?!?!?
I know jockeys have to watch it, too, and especially the weigh-in after
a race has to be right on.

Valerie's right, i have a friend who's a body builder & he's obsessed with his body weight, the bigger & heavier the better, after every workout he always replaces lost fluid & has a high protein drink.
