I'm into the second season and love the show. I grew up not far from Baltimore and I can assure you the English guy who plays McNulty nailed the Baltimore accent..

There is some very graphic language but I think in adds authenticity. Just be forewarned there are a lot of 4 letter words..

I highly recommend the series..:D

I have to say I couldnt watch it if it didnt have 4 letter words. I wouldnt be able to take it seriously if the dealers ran through the streets shouting "Damn you muddy funsters" :D

I cant wait.

BTW "Passions" came in for a HUGE amount of stick in the programme. Is it that bad ? :wah:

Don't watch Passions so I wouldn't know.

Enjoy The Wire, if you have questions about Baltimore let me know.

ARNIE, it is another one of HBO's best. I rank it right up there with DEADWOOD, SIX FEET UNDER, AND ROME. Very good show the new season just started, you will love it, sometime its a bit gritty but excellent.
ALOHA!!

MOTTO TO LIVE BY:

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, champagne in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming.

WOO HOO!!, what a ride!!!"
