The "o" is the error! The "o" is actually a zero(0)! Thats the error

Whats with an apostrophe or whatever it is called this thing ' is for something that belongs to such as Tom's ball.

"Hows that" is correct....not "how's that" that is wrong.

If the error is the difference between o and 0 .......or even O and 0 ......you are avin a laugh

I found the error as soon as I got to that zero :p. ...but I guess I can't prove it now, can I? Oh whatever. Sheesh, I find it hard to believe that even Stanford students had difficulty finding that simple error. I guess they were either trying to hard, or weren't trying hard enough

Sorry but it ain't so

An apostrophe is used both for possessives and for contractions, thus"How is that?" becomes How's that? becomes Howzat?

Indeed, where both meanings are possible, contraction takes precedence over possessive so it is becomes it's whereas belonging to it becomes its.
