Cops: Boy Dies Tied To Stroller, Mouth Duct-Taped
UPDATED: 7:07 pm EST March 8, 2005
NEW YORK -- A Brooklyn toddler was allegedly smothered by his baby sitter, who is accused of putting duct tape over the boy's mouth.
Police said 19-month-old Jaylen Robinson (pictured, left) was with the baby sitter, Tammie Williams, 40, on Sunday. Police said the boy had an ear infection and wouldn't stop crying, which prompted the baby sitter to tie him into his stroller and duct tape his mouth shut.
The boy was congested and couldn't breathe through his nose.
When the toddler began gagging, the baby sitter called 911. Police arrived at the apartment in Brooklyn, and found the boy unconscious. He was pronounced dead at the Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center.
Police have charged Williams with second-degree murder.http://www.wtov9.com/news/4265740/detail.html

Sad, sick, infuriating, depressing, how much longer should I go on?
Tammie will hopefully spend the remainder of her pathetic, useless life in prison. Maybe she'll lip off to the wrong person and they'll strap her ignorant ass to a chair and gag her till she suffocates. Makes me want to scream... :yh_angry

Bullet's trial was a farce. Can I get an AMEN?????
We won't be punished for our sins, but BY them.

You've said it all BabyRider, an ugly reality that's not just unpalatable to the mind but agonizing as well.

A formula for tact: "Be brief politely, be aggressive smilingly, be emphatic pleasantly, be positive diplomatically, be right graciously".

This women was 40 years old. She couldn't call the mother and have her take the baby to the Emergency room, or take him herself. No she had to tape his mouth shut with DUCT TAPE. :-5 I also hope she rots in PRISON WITH DUCT TAPE OVER HER MOUTH THE ENTIRE TIME.. :-1

Interesting, the old saying goes, there is honor among thieves. In this case, honor among criminals, you might say.

I've thought about going to work at least part time, and then I read about some baby sitter doing something like this. It seems you can't trust anyone.
Yes, me too. I resented my husband at times for it, but my kids are here and safe. I grew up and had a few bad apples babysit my brother and me. We were abused by a couple of babysitters. We even locked one girl out of the house for our protection.
This story is so disheartening. I feel so horribly for the parents.
