Hmm...Book Suggestions?

Well, I am a HARRY POTTER FREAK. I am quite addicted, J.K rowling has probably made a third of her fortune off of me. =D

So, I would like a book similar to harry potter, mythical and all that good stuff. I am at the 11th grade level, and 15. So nothing to questionable, seeing as I will be reading mostly at school.

Something from amazon too. =DD my library doesnt have much. :-5

OH AND I LOVE MANGAS. so any series would be GREAAT!!

I have read: eragon and eldest and they are quite good.

some of you have teenagers, what are they reading? I am highly intrested. =D

It's not about magic and I hope you aren't put off by it's target audience age group but I recommend "A Series of Unfortunate Events" to adult and child alike. Lots of big words and the best dark humour I've seen.

My daughter is reading this series by Jonathan Stroud - The Bartimaeus Trilogy. The first book is "The Amulet of Samarakand".

The Sword of Truth novels by Terry Goodkind are also very good. The first is "Wizard's First Rule" and there are 8 or 9 of them.

My personal favorite authors are Melanie Rawn, Mercedes Lackey, and Anne McCaffrey. Mercedes has a wonderful series about a place called Haven. It is a very long series that is broken down into smaller series'. (You know what I mean?)

Happy Reading!!
Sandi

One of my favourite series is the 4 books that make up the "Otherland" series by Tad Williams.

(City of Golden Shadow; River of Blue Fire; Mountain of Black Glass and finally Sea of Silver Light)

They are set in cyberspace and full of gamers, hackers and there is a conspiracy with evil corporation executives at the root of the whole story).

They are a great read and thoroughly recommended (and they are available on Amazon!):)

Try the "Incarnations of Immortality" septology by Piers Anthony.

Death on a Pale Horse is the first in the series and IMO the best too.

I love to read a good book. There is another series of books I've read by Juliet Marillier. Book one: Daughter of the Forest; Book two:Son of the Shadows; Book three;Child of the Prophecy. They're all really good.

I am currently submersed in History, reading a new take on Anne Boleyn, so far so good, yes off the topic of the other stuff here but had to add my 2 cents worth :D

Christmas is only a few months away now.

"Bhutan," a photographic journey across that Himalayan country, is the world's largest published book. It measures 5-by-7 feet when opened, and many of its dazzling photographs are full-page. The book is also among the priciest. Each hand-bound copy costs $10,000.

May I suggest the following books I read recently:

1 - The Other Boleyn Girl - Philippa Gregory

Politics and passions at King Henry VIII court

2 - The Historian - Elizabeth Kostova

Vlad Tepes is still among us ...

3 - The bookseller of Kabul - Asne Seierstad

A portrait of Afghani people.

This book turned me mad.

They live as we lived in middle age century.

I dont' know if I could bear such a way of living..

bye
