Is it the CPU? Or the Fan? When I was having problems with my desktop, my brother told me to take the cover off the tower and get all the dust out. He said that is what causes it to get noisy.

Marie is right take the cover off and get a can of compress air and clean it out, including the fan. It it has been squeaking for awhile it will soon stop all together, when all you had to do was dust it out..

It it is a labtop you better hurry up if they heat up to much your hard drive gets fried..

A dirty machine makes noise, a clean one doesn't...simple fact..!!

My own laptop is still new, but if I were to want to clean it out, with the compressed air, how should I go about it? No tower to take apart and all.

Marie there usually is a fan underneath on laptops you can gently blow the compressed air into the fan and often time dust will come out.. Your's is new so there is no need yet. If you use it in your lap for keying be careful that it doesn't start to run hot. They really work best on a hard surface or better yet one of those cool laptop holders that allows you to use it like a desktop with a regular keyboard... If your Laptop has feet to elavate it in the back use them they keep it cool.. Not to many do any more, but some do..

Well I'm finally home from work and after a bad day I'm totally exhausted. Going straight to bed. I plan to take Laura somewhere nice tomorrow, not sure where yet, but it will definately be after a lie in, that's for sure.

sometimes unwrap a clothes hanger and bend it just a little and work it down running very hot water all the while.

Ive just been watching a large spider spinning a web outside my kitchen window. The sun is shining in so I got a good view of the web. It never ceases to amaze me how measured ingenuity can create such a beautiful and amazing structure. It was quite hypnotic really. Maybe I should get out more :-3
