Quizno's Talking Baby...and other Commercials

Post by along-for-the-ride »

I just enjoy the aforementioned commercial--the baby is so funny.

and I also like the commercial about television since the fifties and the boy growing up and entering the different rooms "of his life".

But, that Capital One "No" commercial is so annoying.

Anyone else have any favorite or most annoying commercials--past or present ?

I think the Ikea commercial with the rug sticking out of the window and all the people being knocked over is hilarious. I've never seen it on mainstream cable though, but it is on the Life channel and Bravo quite a bit.

I am SOOOO glad Quiznos changed their "mascot" from those cracked-up gerbils, or whatever they were. Anyone remember them? I refused to go to Quizno's just because of those commercials. The talking baby is much better.

Budweiser usually comes up with some cool commercials...the Clydesdales playing football was one of my favorites.

Usually I hate Geico commercials, but the one where you think they are advertising a new "reality" show where the newlyweds live in a house that's too small really cracks me up!

I actually sent a letter of complaint to Quiznos for using the what I called a "mutant hamster". Later I saw they were on the top ten list for the worst commercials awards and the paragraph said someone had called it a mutant hamster. I wondered if they had meant me or if more than one person thought of the same name. I also sent a letter of complaint to Old Navy for the Brady Bunch commercial. My favorite commercials are those for the credit card where someone has stolen the identitiy of the credit card holder so the voice is that of the holder and the body is that of the thief. :)

Oh BR, great minds think alike! I just LOVE the Budweiser Clydesdales playing

football!! ("They always do that?" "Nope, they usually go for two") :yh_wink

My fave right now is the HP Photo Smart one where the guy holds up the

frames and takes pics of himself. Catchy tune on that one, too.

Only seen the Quizno's baby one once (right after I first saw this thread!)

and I guess I'm glad but I NEVER saw the "mutant hamster" one! (Never

been to Quizno's anyway!!)

The thing that annoyed me about the "any coupon works" campaign is that my local Quiznos wouldn't even accept other Quiznos coupons.

My favorite commercial is a Brawny commercial.

They have this extremely attractive guy (tall, dark and handsome) smiling into the camera as he wipes down the surfaces with paper towels. All the while a really deep voice is talking in the background about how he's a "Brawny man." He cleans the kitchen and then leaves holding a birthday cake in one hand and a puppy with a bow on it in the other. It makes me want cake and puppies, and of course, my own Brawny man. It makes me all flustered just thinking about it.

That guy is kind of a hunk - my daughter teases me every time that commercial comes on.

I hate, hate, hate the commercials with the little kids singing songs about drugs. "Bah, Bah, Black Sheep have you any E?"... My 7 year old son and his cousins have learned more from that song then they have any where else. Here I am trying to teach him to stay away from drugs without getting into specifics (he is 7 for goodness sake and doesn't need to know the difference between E and pot!) and he is walking around singing a catchy "jingle"!

I like those Miller Light commercials. The ones where the guys do the "girlish" things, then a giant beer can falls on them. They say something like, "Real men drink real beer" or something. Like the one where those guys are standing around that hole with shovels. Two are talking, while the third has a bee flying around him. He's waving & making high-pitched noises, like he's scared. The other two just stop & look at him & he acts like he's stretching. Then the giant beer can lands on him. That cracks me up!!
