You'll have to give her hundreds of hugs - one from each of us! :yh_hugs

Give her our love too, tell her how much we're all thinking of her and praying for her! :-4

Take your camera - we'd love to see a pic of you hugging Criss for us, but if she's not up to it we want to see hugs with the Rider Family! :yh_hugs

And have a happy and safe journey and make our Criss' spirits soar! :yh_flower

Thanks Pinky sweetie! Big grins and hugs for you too! XXX

I AM STUNNED! This is by far the most generous and heart-warming thing I've ever seen on an internet board! Pinky, you must be overwhelmed!

To whomever did this rare and generous thing....my admiration, respect and thanks!

This really is a joint effort with some prior back-channel discussion, there's no mystery to it. A bunch of the UK posters got it into their collective head to make as meaningful a gesture toward BR as we could think of. Asking Pinky to go there for us seemed wildly appropriate. Pinky's done us a huge favour by accepting our suggestion and giving us her weekend - and she'll truly need a good sleep after she gets back! There's no "benefactor", there's just the same drive that made the summer meet work so well, that's all. These things happen because it's obviously right that they should. "Thank you Pinky" is the best reaction, in my opinion.

I think it is wonderful of our UK members to being doing this. It really shows that the garden is just not a group of strangers, but a family. :-6

Pinky please give Criss a hug from me too.

I just hope Criss isn't clausterphobic from all the hugs she's going to be recieving on the behalf of all of us here. :D

Pinky!!! This upcoming mission of yours has heroic dimensions. Dropping everything to head over the seas to represent the Forum Garden when one very dear Member is so sadly afflicted. I love it!!!!!! You go bearing so many healing vibes.... that MUST make a difference. I know just your being there will communicate to Criss in the most immediate way possible how much she means to all of us.

Huge hugs and Thankyous to the people who made it possible...I'll do my very best to cheer our girl up!

We really, really appreciate all the outpouring of love and support here. Honest, we do. But there's a problem here.

How did this happen without checking with us? This weekend is NOT good for any visitors. This is not manageable this soon. Criss is not coherent enough for visitors this soon. We have doctor visits that will take up nearly all her waking time, and we have no way to get anyone from the airport anywhere.

This is a good idea, really it is, but not yet. I really hope that nobody is out a lot of money - perhaps the airline ticket can be changed for one a little later. I don't want to seem inhospitable....but I know that everyone here only wants what is best for Criss. She needs some time. This is much too soon.

Please?

Hiya Chris :)

Some incredibly kind FGer bought and sent to Criss a brand new laptop -- a few weeks ago BR's computer completely broke down.

Was that a gallant gesture or what? :-6

Everyone ~

Please don't get me wrong...I think that the proposed trip is one of the most generous things anyone has ever done for my family, and I couldn't be more grateful for the spirit behind the plan. I know how much Criss means to all of you here, and I can't tell you how much I appreciate all the love and support that is coming from you guys. We want Criss's friends around; it would be great for her. We are just so unprepared for what's coming, and overwhelmed by it. We don't know what's coming, and it's tough.

We're having a meeting with doctors, case management, and family this morning. We'll know much more later today. I'll update as I have the opportunity.

Ah I see, that really is a great gesture!! I've known BR for a while, (though not as long as others in here,) and she is a wonderful person, well deserving of such kind genorosity.

Big well done to the kind donator!!
