Got Zakk off to school. I think we got his lunch/library number memorized. I couldn't believe they expected a 6 year old to memorize a 4 digit number. :-2

Thank goodness it was an easy number.

He's excited, they get to go swimming today. :wah:

I dont know about there but here a child must know his home address and be able to count to ten before they start Kindergarten.

My grand daugther went to pre K and at the end of it they had formal graduation and all kids had to recite a piece on stage in their cap and gowns. One little girl was crying and I asked why and Amber told me she had forgot her lines. Pre K.

Amber is so happy this year. She qualified for ACE school. I have not been there yet but will go see her there. One day per week. They sort of teach the kids to think out of the box.

I would hope the good citizens of Pluto (Plutonians) do not known there home planet has been downgraded to drawf.

PRAGUE, Czech Republic - For decades, it’s been confused with a cartoon dog and ridiculed as a puny poser. Now Pluto, the solar system’s consummate cling-on, has suffered its worst humiliation: It’s not even a planet anymore.

After a tumultuous week of clashing over the essence of the cosmos, leading astronomers Thursday stripped Pluto of the planetary status it has held since its discovery in 1930.

Sad, very sad.

Has anyone tried ethenol? I am going to try it as soon as I get down to less than 1/4 tank, I'm filling up with E-85. It is 2.35 a gal and gas is 2.77. It is 105 octane so I get 5% more HP to make up for the less mpg factor. The Arabs will only get 15% from me and my exhaust will smell like french fries(freedon fries).

All I ever used in Iowa was ethenol. It worked great! I can't get it in TN, so I use 89 octane

This is so silly-the astronomers were too chicken to give a correct definition for what is a planet-they just wrote up a list. And deleted Pluto. That was not what good scientists do.

I always wear boot cut or flared jeans, the boots will fit nicely under them.

I just don't like wearing socks, so it's either flip flops or furry boots for me! :D

They did all the testing for kindegarten last April. The tests were each for specific skills. One was catching and throwing, another was building blocks up to match photos, another was identifying least, most, middle, outside, inside and other stuff like that. Zakk scored above average on all except the easiest one. He couldnt' figure out buttoning buttons and tying shoes. :o

I would thijnk the teachers union would object to all the schooling they are not getting to teach since the parents have to do it. Heeeeee.

Really I think its good if they know their home address and phone number.

I go eat with my grand daughter on Thursdays.Last year that was the "good day" Always had mashed potatoes and gravy and some type of meat. Today ws my first time to go this year and they had nachos and salad. I dont like that as much but I think the kids do. I might start taking pizza when I go if they dont have good stuff.

I got an akubra from there once. I love it. And I bought a oil tanned leather hat from there but got it here at a trade fair. The akubra has tiny corks hanging from the brim to keep blowies (flies) scared away. Great for fishing.

At one time there was a fad of dingo boots. I have no idea if they really started in Oz or not. I hope you enjoy the Uggs
