Know what I had for Breakfast? A banana, some grapes, a hard boiled egg and a piece of bread with peanut butter on it. If I did not know better, I would swear I was pregnant or something.

That is just what I guessed that women liked the men who spoke like that. but so many women I know seem to seek out the wild guys who would never talk like that and then figure they can change them after they get married. It never works. I heard a standup nail it once when he said "Women marry a man hoping they will change and men marry a woman hoping she will never change."
It always seemed to me that the soaps always had people speak very showly and clearly and did closeups. I guessed that was their target audience probably had failing vision and or ears.

I always thought they were trying to fill up the time, how little can you put into a one hour show?

Yeah, I think you are right. I know you can miss two weeks of any one of those shows and still know whats going on when you get back. Very little happens each day. My granny watched or listened to all of those. She called The Second Mrs Burton, Burtons Old Lady.

I can remember the days, when my mother spent the afternoon ironing-the soaps were on then. That is what she listened to, while ironing for hours.
Thank goodness for permanent press!

I'm depressed.
Over the last year I feel like I've been falling apart.
Pain in my right foot and right knee for over 12 months. Going to the hospital next month to get it looked at.
Pain in both wrists, supposedly tendonitis but made worse by excessive use of my mouse recently during a lot of overtime.
Both elbows are giving me grief, but not quite as bad as the simultaneous "Tennis Elbows" I had a few years ago.
Then I sprained my ankle on Friday so I'm still hobbling about.
I was just getting ready to go to my brothers birthday get-together and my back just went into spasm when I leaned over. Now I've got to drive 5 people 50 miles. I know I'm wallowing in self-pity but it just gets me down that I aint the kid I used to be.

All work and no play creates body malfunction. You need to take a few days off and RELAX...... maybe a chiropractor can sort you out, but my bet is just REST.... anyway...here comes a bit of cyber TLC :-4

Well I'm going to visit my son for 6 days next week and he's going to show me round. When I get back, I'll have 3 days with my daughter. Quality time is the only thing on the agenda. Work can wait.

my best advice is to start getting serious about diet and exercise to stave off the inevitable. Just cant think of anything better.

GRRREAT!!! I can stomach another Nick Cage movie. Should I bring pop-corn, extra pillows (I have about 100 on my bed) or the second feature :sneaky:
Oh sorry, I really meant another movie :-4

OK guys, here's the deal. I've been calling and on the net all morning, getting quotes on having a garage built. I've got guys in all the western states calling me back, trying to get my business. Are there any hard and fast rules when a poor, unknowledgable WOMAN tries to deal in this definitely 'Man's World'? Suggestions will be welcome. (p.s. Jeff in Colorado told me to call Eric in Indio for a quote on concrete)
