Goodbye FG

Post by OpenMind »

Many things have been said in faith that turn out to be wrong. Many things are said in the heat of the moment.

Many things are said to insult others and cause upset without censorship.

An uncorroborated statement by the forum gardener closing my thread constitutes reason enough to withdraw my support from this forum on the grounds of biased and unreasonable censorship.

Goodbye FG and all my mates, particularly those who have taken time out to become my friends and post such encouraging commnets in my profile. Please forgive me for having not reciprocated. The intent was there but the time was not.

um. i'm not an admin here, so i speak only for myself, as ex-admin: ladycop has no "friends" because the "friends" profile system wasn't in place back when she was a member!

as far as the uncorroborated comment, i also can't speak for the head gardener, but, uh, unless *you* are an admin too, who is going to corroborate the reasons (note plural) why ladycop was banned? 'using her right to free speech' is so far from being one of them i...i...well, it's like saying hummingbirds are made of bricks. it has nothing to do with reality.

but i'm nobody. this is ancient history, i don't understand why you'd leave forumgarden over something that was over and done with months and months ago.

i think forumgarden's history of banning users - with the exception of spammers - well, the number can be counted with one hand. anyone suggesting that forumgarden bans people without just cause is simply wrong.

i hope i don't step on any toes by speaking up.

Haven't seen a goodbye thread for a while.

I vowed to post this attachment every time I saw one. I predict you'll be back. When you are ready, fear not. The Garden always welcomes prodigal children with open arms. From what I've seen.

I was shocked to wake up and read your thread, OM. I was expecting to find that it was an amusing "take" on the one by Acc.

Please take time to reconsider. You're a part of the Garden and we will miss you if you go.

I hope you reconsider Roger....we would miss you terribly.

LC has many friends here and she gets the messages of love and goodwill that are posted.....I found 38 'freinds' on her profile, so I'm a bit confused here !

In defense of admin. To my knowledge, no one has been banned from FG because they used their right to 'free speech'. Reasons for banning are either plain for us all to see or are kept confidential as they should be.

In the cold light of day, I find that I cannot turn my back on my friends. You have all become good friends and you are all important to me.

I will not be leaving after all. I still would have liked the opportunity to correct my thread rather than have it outright closed. But I am going to swallow my pride out of respect for everyone here.

Thanks to everyone for your coments. Thanks to FG for such a great forum. I couldn't live without you.

It seems to me one of my replies was removed yesterday, no rhyme, no reason, no message.

I'm happy you decided to come back.:)
