Well, thanks Chons I was going to wait for a DVM!! ;)

Is she overweight at 50 pounds? Sounds to me like it might be a

slipped disc/pinched nerve thing.

They tolerate aspirin pretty well, but I'd give her some food with it.

Since you say she isn't eating, how about something that she really

considers a treat? Bit of chicken, perhaps. Anything non-spicy non-fatty.

Good luck and do let us know!

Hey, Flops

It sounds like what Val said, possibly a slipped disc or pinched nerve. The pain would cause her to go off her food, so that makes sense, too. It could also be an injury to her tail, believe it or not.

When is your appointment with the vet? Give buffered aspirin, but never Tylenol, it's toxic to dogs.

Let us know how it goes at the vet, ok?

Miss ya!!!

Heck dogs are just like us, they can pull muscles and have arthritis, kidney infection, bladder infections... Poor thing was so sore she couldn't move. Go easy on her Floppy, and keep up the asprin regime...;)

I'm glad she is not yelping in pain today, and rest will help her. A pulled muscle sure can hurt, poor doggie.:-4
