hi Mary...may i gently suggest you don't need the HUGE font type? it is seen as yelling............there are 'classes' of people in prisons, the armed robber looks down on the kiddie rapists because they may have kids. and they are "better" than them. it is a caste system like any other." i am only a bank robber, you killed children, ergo, mine is a property crime, and you are a sick scumbag."

Question
Rapists and kiddie diddlers are the lowest of the low because the inmates have wives and children on the outside. It is their way of protecting families and family members that they can't protect on the outside. One less rapist is one less problem to worry about.
Question
there is also the entirely human nature factor of needing to feel SUPERIOR to someone...so if i am a crack-whore or a shoplifter or bank robber or wife-beater or DUI vehicular homicide or drug dealer, there is still someone lower than me, the kiddie rapist or killer. i remember a female in our jail who was preggers, was released two days before giving birth...she immediately sucked up enough crack cocaine to render the baby addicted and near death when born. she walked out of the hospital, left the baby, and was on the street selling sex. so we busted her..this was two days post delivery! when we took her back to jail the other females were outraged and disgusted.(these are females whose own kids have been removed) ......i remember saying to another deputy, it's pretty bad when the other crack-whores think you are despicable.

Duly noted. has nothing to do with being a female, it's the cop perspective...or do you mean the female prisoner perspective? it applies to males as well. that's why sex offenders are segregated into their own blocks. one thing about the males. they are more macho and like to talk about how "bad" and dangerous they are. but the 376 pound male who killed his little 18 month old baby with his bare hands had to be kept in protective custody. and yet the serial killer we are holding for trial is a big bad dude. go figure. it's all sick thinking.

I meant the female prisoner perspective. Sick thinking is about right.
