Meet Midge: the Crime Fighting Chihuahua

Meet Midge, the newest member of the Cleveland Ohio K-9 unit. She will be trained as a drug sniffing dog. This article was from a few months ago, but there was an article in todays paper that said she was staring her training. I just could not access the article from my local paper's website.

As you would expect I think that little Midge is just adorable!

I can see a little rat terrier in her snout; it's a little bit longer than a typical chi's.

I just spoke with Buster and he said he wouldn't consider the job unless he could work side-by-side with the gorgeous little Midge . . . :-4

I wish I had access to the article in this morning's paper. They were talking about how they are training more small dogs as part of the K-9 force particularly because they are small, and could get into smaller places. And also, there was something about them not getting in the way as much or knocking things over. They mentioned a Jack Russell terrier who is also in training.

I will look more, and if I can find today's article somewhere, I will post a link.

Imagining a Jack Russel drug dog.....they're naturally "speeding" anyway! Midge is too cute!
