As we evolve........

Relationships/marriages evolve.........(hopefully)

And we're confronted with various changes.

What changes, good/bad stands out in your mind?

when you become just friends..

you have become so used to each other that the effort that you once put into a kiss a touch, flowers etc are forgotten about all in hte name of comfortability..:-3

but you can if the LOVE is there get that back with a little effort..that is if you want it of course

Things happen papa that change everything, but love is always there.

My husband is an invalid, but I love him as much or more then I ever did. So our marriage evolved if you think of it that way, where he was once the leader of the family unit, now I have taken on that goal. For him, he knows he is safe and secure-he sometimes does not remember my exact role in all of this, but he knows I am good to him. I live for my smile from him once or twice a day, and being home all summer, I get more of them.

Very true statement, Venus.

It does take effort to keep things 'alive'. And it's difficult when real life (job, kids, etc.) get in the way.

I always try to be aware of it so it won't happen to hubby :-4 and me.

Second marriage for me. I like to think I am older and wiser this time around.

Time will tell :-6

I'm far more budget conscious (cheaper) than I used to be. When I was young, Whatever was in my pocket or checkbook was what I could afford to spend. My beloved reined me in on my spending habits, and now we have the discipline to stay debt-free.

For my part, I think my love of adventure has rubbed off on her. I don't need (or even necessarily want) a destination when we go driving on a weekend afternoon. You can find some cool stuff if you just point the car - say - east, and drive for a quarter-tank or so. :driving:
