What is behind some of the things we say?
Have you ever heard yourself say something, and then just wonder why we say such a thing? For example, when it is about 95 degrees out, and very humid, we might say "Man, it is hotter than Hell out today. " BUT...fast forward to January, and sub zero temperatures, and what do we say "It is COLDER than hell out there". So come on every one..which is it?

It is hot!:wah:
Don't we say some of the exact phrases our parents said, whether we think them out or not?
My mother never used the word hell, but said "H-E double hockey sticks!"
So that is what we say!:wah:

So true. That reminds me of a George Carlin bit from back in the 70's. About swearing and all. Like, your mom would drop the casserole on the floor and say "Oh Shoot". He then goes on to say..."you are not kidding anyone. Shoot is S*H*I*T with two o's"
