BTK--serial killer returns
BTK--serial killer returns
30 years ago in Wichita Kansas there was a series of at least 8 gruesome horrific murders. the killer taunted the police with letters and even mailed victims' belongings to prove he was the killer. then he disappeared from sight...for nearly 25 years. he styled himself the B-T-K killer...for 'bind, torture, kill'. which describes his method. his murders were grotesque, even by serial killer standards. ...now he has started communicating with the police, as well as a news station. he has again sent letters and the belongings of victims. so it is a wait. will he kill again? is he hoping to be caught? what drives him? is it attention-seeking for the thrill of causing fear? the fun of leading the police a merry chase? i believe modern methods are going to result in effecting his apprehension. i hope it's before he decides to commit another vicious murder.

Sounds like he might have been serving a prison term for another offense?
there were a couple schools of thought, that he had done some prison time, and/or that he had died.... the prevailing feeling in the investigation now is that he has lived among the citizens of Wichita all these years. a chilling prospect.

Perhaps he has controlled himself and killed, but hid the bodies well-or he moved and killed in another area without taunting police. I hope they catch the phucker soon.

OR maybe a friend or relative, son?, found the old man's grisley collection and reinvented BTK :-2
Old age and treachery, is an acceptable response to overwelming youth and skill

this character doesn't want to hide his handiwork, he wants it out there, known, seen, terrorizing people. this guy is reveling in publicity. he LOVES the attention. he is not doing hidden simple murder. he likes the colorful and spectacular ugly stuff.

the shared pathology would be so rare as to be almost impossible. the stuff he's mailing in is contemporaneous to the murders and on the money. he's not about to share the "credit".

Yes, but serial murderers can go back into the woodwork. They are clever at manipulation. If he saw that the police were too close before, he could have gone into hiding. But, I think that is is very logical to speculate that he was in prison, perhaps in another country, or changed his MO and killed in a different area.
These type of people are both horrifying and fascinating. they are human monsters, so clever and cunning. I wish they could suffer the pain and terror they gave their victims for all eternity.

It's twisted enough to try and imagine how someone can murder let alone torture people. Then you have to try and imagine living a presumed normal life after as if nothing ever happened. How must the family feel? How could they ever have a normal life again? It's beyond comprehension to me.

hi Mary, thankyou, i did see his booking photo, if i run across it i will post it. it is interesting to note he is NOT eligible for the death penalty in Kansas due to the statute not being available during the times of his crimes.

Glad they caught him. I feel awful for his family and those he deceived. His background makes me even more resigned to trust no one and watch everyone (well, mainly men) with guard.

THANK GOD HE IS OFF THE STREETS..
I heard he is talking big time. There might even be a recent case that he was involved in. Which could get him the death penalty..
BETH, Don't trust anyone... Male or Female.. when it comes to your family, and children.. Sometimes you can't even trust members of your own family.. :-3

june 27....he just pled guilty to 10 counts of murder, and is describing the killings in detail in court, Court TV is showing it. i have seen everything and still it is making me sick. he is calmly and dispassionately telling every detail of his vicious horrible sick twisted murders of women and children.
BTK--serial killer returns
OMG OMG ...he is telling in detail how he strangled a woman and some babies, i am freaking out here. god, if i were the court officer i might have to shoot him. but not in vital areas. just in his genitals. he is talking about rape and murder and strangulation with plastic bags and a belt and the use of handcuffs on his victims. what they said, what he did. and he looks like he's discussing a walk in the park. i am waiting for someone in court to attack him.
