Big Brother Comes To Town

Post by capt_buzzard »

On Wednesday morning, Kathleen, a grandmother from Dundalk Co Louth had told her husband she was going to see the doctor. In fact, she had a rather different appointment. Kathlean boarded a train to Dublin to take part in auditions for the reality TV show Big Brother.

Wearing a fetching pair of pink boots and a glittery cowgirl hat, Kathleen joined the motley crew of attention-seeking and decidedly oddball Big Brother wannbees in a queue at the RDS Hall Dublin.

The prospect of being filmed by Channel 4 had them all excited and delighted to be there.

A Woman from Athlone in County Westmeath brought along her snake to the RDS for the day out, She said that she did not want to leave Jool, her snake alone. If she got through the auditions, she would leave the snake at a local boarding house for reptiles.

There must be a part in that for reptiles...I'm an Iguana Get me outa here.

Another aspiring celebrity arrived in a fireman's uniform and carried a big yellow helmet. He had no fire-fighting experience, however, he told them that he was a Hen Night stripper from Armagh in Northern Ireland, who trades under the name, Randy Roger.

Another man from Dublin, who would very much look out of place dressed as a Cardinal, said he was there for the bit of craic.
