I'm Moving!

I don't know if I mentioned it or not, but I went to look at a new apartment the other day... well, I got it!!!! It's mine!!! It's sooo nice! Completely remodeled, 2 bedrooms (for my grandbabies), central air, washer & dryer hookup, storage, yard, I could go on! I am soooo psyched!!! But I dread telling my current landlords. They're very nice people & my lease only runs out August 1st. I'm waiting til then to move.

I'd assumed it was in Moonbase Alpha.

Already got a call from the current landlords. They got a call for reference yesterday. HE sounded fine, but I'm sure SHE won't be happy.

She can get a bit anal about things. I was reading over my current lease the other night & began to really realize how bad it was. They're great people, but she's just very fussy. And being as my lease isn't exactly up yet, she just may get a bit funny about that & argue that I have to forfeit my deposit.

As it is, the lease states that I actually have to give them 60 days notice! I've never heard of having to give that long of notice! I'm only giving 30 days... that's the norm. The carpets have to be professionally cleaned... there's only one carpet... in the bedroom... which I didn't really use (slept on the couch cuz that's where the TV is).

Moving can actually be kind of a pain, til it's all done!

Whaddaya say we throw a cyber housewarming party for you at your new place? BR can set up the bar. We'll all bring some nice appetizers and desserts. And we'll have a h.e.l.l. of a time together!:)

Thanks for the sentiments... I just got the Moonbase Alpha thing!! LOL!!!!! I AM blonde, after all!

Dont worry your giving them enough notice, Just make certain you get their place sparkling clean and perfect. I moved into my own cute little 2 bedroom apt, this past January, after being a room mate for 2 years in Georgia. I love it......... you will too.
