Hi Cars, Theia... The two of my kids who live in London spent the long weekend here with me a bit south of Florence. Their first time in Italy and they were bowled over entirely. My other daughter in Australia is ill and I may have to head back ahead of schedule. We'll see. Hope the London meeting went well. I can only get brief internet time, so haven't had a chance to read up on FG news. It's leap in, post fast, leap out.. so take care all.. tlw!!!

G'Day Pam, Italy-wow, I've always wanted to go there, maybe someday. So are you going to take lots of pictures? And hopefully you'll be posting some of them.
Hope your daughter is better!

Did you identify your 'wormlizzard' yet? It's got me curious now, too! I googled '4 legged worms' but I didn't get a hit.
No, it's still a mystery! I goggled it too, with no success. I don't have a digital camera, so can't take a picture to post. I had the bright idea to scan it, & I did, but it would not post as it was too large. (496k bps?) Anyway I think I may have discoved some kind of new species, I may become famous!

The 'Cars Wormlizard': a rare species of small vermiform reptile that dwells only in Forum Gardens.
Not only in FG, unfortunately they are in my garden, wish I really knew what they are? When I find another one, I will put it in a glass jar & take it to a local Entomologist!:wah:

A worm lizard?!!!!!! Maybe it's a baby dragon, cars? There were some very neat bright green lizards in Italy, and one day I stumbled on a very long thin brown snake. Nothing like worm lizards though... I can almost feel a limerick coming on. How you going Koochi? I'm in rainy London right now. Would nick tlw, but don't want him to get a chill, so I'll leave him with you all.... take care!!!

Yes Pam a wormlizard, I call it that because it was buried in the dirt in my garden, just like a worm. It wiggled like a worm, was redish brown like a worm, looked like a worm. But then when it was out of the dirt, it started to "walk" on 4 tiny feet! It was about 3 inches long, 1/8 inch diameter, & seemed to have what apeared to be a tiny head. Creepy- crawley looking thing!

Ah lovely France, how nice, I've been there many times and it's a beautiful part of the world, so I bet you are having a great time over there! But that still doesn't mean that I will give up TLW, even if you are in holiday, besides I'm sure you have plenty of beaches and countryside to visit, so what need would you have with TLW??

G'day Chris, Koochi, Cars.. I'm back now in freezing, wintry Oz after boiling hot Paris and London and it will take me a while to catch up on the hot goss - not to mention getting used to my own computer keyboard again. Grin. What's all this about people leaving???????? Have I missed lots of big FG brawls, walkouts, naked mud wrassling, scandal, mayhem and other merriment??????? Do I ride in with my English footie nicked St George cross flag, slay dragons and rescue maidens? Lemme know the latest, please.. and in the meantime, I'll just sit here nursing my champagne glass and snuggle up to tlw.

Some people were contemplating leaving FG (one of them a beloved gardner) but as it turned out, it seems no one left.

G'day Niamh of the Golden Hair. Riding in here, no doubt, on a white horse to nick TLW and cart him with you to the land of eternal good news. Seems a pity to wreck yer noble plans, but he's MINE... Come to mamma, TLW!!!

No doubt you have already heard
Whether feathered or finned or furred
How this cute little game
A new champion has named
Because now I DO HAVE THE LAST WORD!
