Small women driving Behemoth SUV's

What's with all these small women driving "Behemoth" SUV's. Today, in a Public Parking lot in NY, I saw "4" different small (looked small in the gigantic seat) women driving the biggest SUV's I've ever seen! And all of them parked within close proximity to each other. Curious, is it a status symbol or something to make them feel big? :rolleyes:

I get annoyed with people who buy cars that are bigger than they can handle and then can't manage to stay inside their own lane or they think because they are 'so big' they need more room to do everything!:-5

I always want to yell out "I can turn an 18 wheeler in less room than that! Let's go!!"

I see a lot of little people... okay, that's not a correct term to use for who I mean... I see a lot of... hmmm... petite people (is that a better word?) driving huge SUV's and huge pickups and I'm like woohoo... makes me want to get an F550 or something... I'm 5'3, yes, I know it means I'm not short but of average height :rolleyes: ... but I've always wanted to drive a huge truck... be behind some big 6' something guy in a small car and here I come up roaring behind him :driving: blaring my massive horn at him to get him out of the way... hmmm... maybe I would drive like those people who can't handle their vehicles... swerving, hitting the curb, scaring the patrol posse for school children crossings... good times... nah, I will stick to my little Focus that is adorably cute and fits in most parkings... I will ask a woman driving a huge Suburban one of these days why she likes to drive such a massive vehicle... lets see if she answers me and doesn't tell me to... skip off :wah:

Sometimes it's just comical, it's exactally opposite to when at the Circus, and a tiny tiny car pulls into the center ring & like "7" foot tall people get of it.

lol! That reminds me of when I saw a little girl drive a Ford Explorer to school. I was sitting out in the parking lot and she came in at an angle to park in a very small spot. She was so angled that she scraped her rear quarter panel on the car next to her.

She thought for a minute, then turned the wheel to back out, but she managed to smash the same car with her front bumper.

Completely flustered now, she pulled forward while looking back and hit the car on the other side on the driver's door. Finally I walked over and motioned for her to get out of the car. I told her, "Let's just leave it there and call the other drivers, OK?":-2

lol. yeah, she was pretty dazed. I think she just couldn't see very well being above all the other cars. (They were passeger cars.)

The hard part was keeping the teen drivers of the other three cars calmed down after they saw the damage she wreaked.:wah: Thank goodness the cops were fast!

My philosophy. The bigger the vehicle the smaller the mind and the worser the driver!

A bloke down the road bought a new big car, drove it into the garage. Got out and pushed the button to close the garage door. Several thousands of dollars were chopped off the value of the car!

ROFL! That's great! Did the car fit better after that?

On another note. I'll bet we are going to see the end of big SUVs with gas prices rising. I remember all the little tiny cars like Toyotas that came out after the scare in the '70s. I'm already seeing a lot of those monster SUVs on the used car lots.
