Yet another neighbor rant!

I know gang we've had these before... and it seems wrong to say anything

when so many others here have MUCH more significant things to

worry about... but I need to get this off my chest.

Next door neighbor (he of the multiple trash and weeds) decides to

"trim" a tree between the houses, a tree that I cut completely back

last fall. It's what we've been calling a "weed tree" some type of

willow or alder or something... grows like mad and I've been religiously

taking care of it so it doesn't get as out of hand as it was when we first

moved in. I've had CUT pieces (logs, as it were) SPROUT in the woodpile,

that's how crazy this thing is.

Well he cut a pretty large size hole in the branches, and thereby

removed a significant part of my privacy screen. I'm just sick about it.

Yeah, the thing will grow back eventually, but still, after being cut

completely down last fall, I was just starting to enjoy it again.

Then this guy leaves all the limbs piled in between (but on his side)

the houses. I was out for a little bit this afternoon with Tamsen and

he comes over, so what am I gonna do? I'd rather not talk to him at

all but you can't do that. He seemd almost proud and pointed out

what he'd done. I said yeah but you got a little aggressive with the

chain saw. He's clueless. :-5 I then very sweetly "offered" him the

space in my yard waste container... just so I don't have to look at

the branch piles out there for 6 weeks.

The funny thing is, he and his wife just loved the flowers I planted

last year along my driveway, were always making comments on

how nice it was... yet there's two foot high dying weeds out there

and part of an old hog wire fence. And hanging bits of dripline.

I tell ya.

Hey, I've done lots of stuff for this neighbor before!! Weeding the strip

between the houses and more besides!!

(I'm a little disappointed, Pinkster, I thought maybe you'd say I

should see if a tree branch would fit up his butt!!)
