World cup - Trindad Tobago v Sweden

T&T were absolutely magnificent in holding Sweden to a goalless draw, even after going down to 10 men at the start of the second half. Sweden didnt particularly play badly (contrary to popular belief, it isnt always easy to play against 10 men), T&T played out of their skin and even hit the bar late in the match

Dwight Yorke, who is a seasoned, former Premiership striker, played a holding role and for me was Man of the Match.

Shaka Hislop, also a former Premiership regular, was also magnificent, considering he only learnt he was playing a few minutes before the match.

There are always giant killings in the World Cup and this was number one. Can the Ivory Coast pull off number two later ?

Hey fellow.

I just came to this site.

It looks interesting, but I was about to watch the Swe vs Trin & Tob game I had taped & you ruined it for me.

Will still watch it, hoping there will be at least 1 goal.

Hey,

look on the bright side....

atleast you didnt have to sit through the entire game to see a scoreless game.

Actually I DID watch the scoreless game.

It was, believe it or not, the BEST game so far in this '06 World Cup. :guitarist
