My original post was hijacked.

I have been inundated with crude and hateful posts and private messages.

New Zealanders are my neighbours and special friends. I am proud of that.

My ancestors were Brits and I'm proud of that.

If you wish that I disappear and stop posting, what I thought were interesting and innocuous articles, then so be it.

I sign my real name with pride and do not hide behind a nomme de plume.

Gordon, I think this is blown up out of proportion. No one is making fun at another group, especially the lovely people of New Zealand. We do not want anyone to leave us at FG.

oh dear oh dear oh dear. I read your original post with interest, Gordon, and I could see exactly what you were getting at. Read the rest too, (until I keeled over with boredom) and expect I'm thick, but I couldn't see what all the fuss was about, and why such unpleasantness ensued.

I've seen this on other forums and it always surprises me why people can get so het up about the opinions of people they've never met, nor are likely to.

I have went over all the threads related to the subject, and can find no reason for such discrepancy.

I interpreted Nomads response to be nothing less than insinuation regarding his own feelings toward war, rather than implying this was the practice of the people you are trying to defend. Its just simply misinterpreted, and quite frankly, I think your demand for an apology is a little over exuberant.
