Women planning C-Sections to plan birth dates

Post by Marie5656 »

I heard this on the radio this morning. Apparently, women are planning C-sections for over the next week..so as NOT to have thier children born next Tuesday...June 6th. 6/6/06!!

Can you believe this? It is part of superstiton about the numbers 666!!

What do you think of the whole concept of women scheduling C-Sections around particular dates...and especially to avoid THIS particular date??

Ok I'm guilty. :o When I was due with my daughter, I absolutely refused to deliver on the 4th of October. So I stayed up basically all night of the 2nd walking up and down my street trying to get my labor to progress. It worked I had her at 2:36 pm on October 3rd.

Some women just have their reasons for wanting to deliver or not deliver on certain dates.

I wouldn't choose to be sliced open just because I wanted the baby to arrive on

*my* schedule!

I did choose to be induced both times because they were both 4 days late and BIG! My daughter was 8lbs 9 oz and my son was 8lbs 10 oz!

I had to be stitched back together as it was, we didn't need them to be any bigger coming out!

LOL! I can just see the looks on some of the guys faces if they stumble into this thread:  :yh_sick

I'm pregnant and my initial due date was Sept 10th. I jokingly told my doc that we needed to work on making sure it wasn't a day late. (My hubby and myself are in EMS) We've scheduled my C-section for Sept 5th, only because my doctor schedules her C sections on the Monday or Thursday before your due date. (And actually, the Monday before is Labor Day, so it's on a Tues, the 5th)

The whole 666 thing seems extreme to me but to each their own.
I probably posted that in an ambien trance-soryy
