Love them Pinky... know the one about never casting a clout till May is out. Italians have a bunch of these folk wisdoms too. Like it can be 100 degrees out there but if it's not August you better not swim. And the old colpo d'aria - the blow of air that will be the death of you if you get too much fresh air out of season...

Talking about the colpo d'aria. London is pretty bloody cold, wet and windy after Italy... grin... If I was a swaggie camped by a good aussie billabong in say, Hyde Park, it'd be a three dog night - you'd need three warm corgies to keep you snuggly warm.. Acutally I'd prefer three big bronzed aussie lifeguards, hey, even one .... but I digress... badly..
