Former American Idol contestant is being crowned Artichoke King

in Castroville, Calif. for their festival celebrating everything artichoke.

Hung will ride in the parade Sunday and perform new versions of "Surfin'

USA" and "Achy-Breaky Heart".

Marilyn Monroe was the first "Artichoke Queen" at the festival...

back in 1947.

Talk about a little more than 15 minutes of "fame"!

That Hung guy cracks me up! There's something elusive about his appeal,, though.
