It changes the whole dynamic. Watch the voting go through the roof next week, for sure.

It would be so cool if Taylor made it. It's Talor-made. :wah: ... ... :yh_sick

She was just as shocked by the look on her face. I'm not sure how this happened. I like Taylor and I even like some of Elliot's songs, but I don't think they were as good as Chris. Just MHO.

Chris was definitely a better fit for today's music, but who knows what changes the next idol can make?

Possibly, but last night was actually the first time I remember seeing him move around very much! Taylor is a showman!

It's just a show. And yes, it is like when Mandisa left... 'cept she wasn't "eyecandy". It's not fixed. It's America voting. Sorry, but if my choices had gone, I'd still think it was fair. JMHO.

I was only able to get through to vote for Elliot twice. Tmbs did you try both numbers for Chris? I may have to go check out the Idol boards, I'm sure there's good reading there.

Do a google search for Chris Daughtry. There is several fan sites out there and they are going wild!!!! It's almost insane!

I couldn't even GET through to vote for Elliott!

Tmb, I do want to say that I agree, it should've been Katharine. Unfortunately, that's not how the voting went. I can say that I didn't vote for either Chris or Katharine. And I couldn't get through to vote for Elliott. So guess where my 1 vote went.

Well from what I've found so far the band Fuel is supposed to be asking Chris to join them as their front man tonight on Extra. I think that comes on NBC, not sure.

AI isn't fixed, ha, tell me something else I don't know. Taylor Hicks has been the lowest vote getter all along and he makes a showing with Elvis's songs and get Chris booted. Chris can sing all kinds of songs and Taylor only made a hit imitating Elvis and now he is everybodys King. A manager of a radio show in St. Louis, Mo. said this morning that it was fixed so Taylor could win all along. He is in where he hears all the gossip we don't hear. In a year ask who Taylor Hicks is and see if anyone knows. :(

Oh yup. That makes perfect sense. AI's not in it for the money, after all. Why would they want something so silly as for the most popular guy to win ? :-2

Taylor's not even been in the bottom 3! He's done great every week. Chris was in the bottom 3 a few weeks back. If it'd been anybody else voted off, nobody would be making a fuss. Chris isn't God. Yes, he's good. He'll have a record contract. And he's already been asked to tour with Fuel... rumor has it. What's the big deal?? He GOT EXPOSURE. That's all they need. The rest is up to them. Obviously, not everybody was routing for Chris.

Kat's "Over the Rainbow" literally brought tears to my eyes, but she's not unique enough to be AI, imo.

Ya get the feeling the judges were trying to influence the vote? :yh_think

Kat will never be a Celine Dion. I honestly think with her voice range she would succeed better on the stage. No comment on TH.

I was really ticked when I saw her mom's reaction to Elliott being booted! I'm definitely NOT for Kat now. Her mom's a stage mother!

I don't like kat, I still think she should of been gone 2 weeks ago. I'm pretty sure Taylor's gonna win. But I was sooo sad to see Elliot leave, he may not have been the greatest, but atleast his was down to earth.

I agree Sheryl. She should've gone that week. I like Kat, but am not crazy about her style & she reminds me of a spoiled brat.

But I did like Elliott. I'm gonna miss him. I was hoping it would be Elliott & Taylor.

She was disappointed that she didn't have the thousands turn out for her that the others did. I agree she'll have great success on broadway or some such place. I think she's trying too hard to please, which means following. She needs to do what she loves, like Taylor does. Somebody'll buy it; the heck with the judges.

I think Broadway is where she'd be doing her best. I'm sorry she can't sing the blues, it's like watching a ping pong ball bouncing all over the stage. There's no emotion.

I'm hoping Taylor takes it all the way.

Now that it's down to two, we'll see who the producers want to win. They decide the original songs for next week. I don't think they've ever been truly impartial in the past.

Well I hate KAT can't stand to watch her sing she should have been gone long ago. Yes Chris should still be there, actually I thought it would end up being CHRIS AND TAYLOR in the finals. Both have talent that the crowds like, boy was I wrong.

I actually hope Taylor wins I like his funky Joe Cocker style he get everyone movin for sure. :guitarist I have liked him since day one...:D

KAT bores me to death, screw her, and her over the rainbow song made me want to throw something at the TV...:-5

If history runs true with this show she will win, only one man has won so far.. I hope TAYLOR will be number 2...

Last night they had the phones open for 4 hours. I got through 3 times at the very beginning to vote for Taylor, after that couldn't get through. Tryed to call and vote again 2 hours later and phones still were busy. :)

He had my hopes when I first heard him play harmonica way back during auditions, but I never thought he'd actually win.... at least not until Chris got knocked out.

That show was one long revival commercial, wasn't it? Unpack the old guys from the mothballs & announce their new albums. :wah:

Poor Elliot with Mary J Blige ..... she just came out & took over, didn't she?

I did not regularly watch the show, but followed its progress on the morning show of the radio station I listen to. One thing I remember being said about him at the beginning was that he would get voted off early as he did not have the right "look" to be an American Idol. He was older than the rest, and the grey hair thing.

Though I remember the same being said about Clay Aikin. Though he did not win, he pulled a close second, and has done OK for himself.

What little I did see of Taylor, I liked him well enough.
