Trixie the Chinchilla

Post by Marie5656 »

Hello everyone. Let me introduce you to my furkid..Trixie, a standard grey chinchilla. She is a year and a half old, and a very active critter. She lives to run in her wheel and eat mini shredded wheats!! She can be affectionate, under her terms. She will sit for a scratch under her chin, but other than that, she is off and running. We have a chin proof room for play time out of her cage. It is interesting, as when I open the window in the room, she will just hop up onto the windowsill and watch the world go by.

I am attaching some pictures of her.

By the way, I should mention..notice the picture in the middle, on top of a clothing bar? Yes, that IS the ceiling of our closet right above her head!! She jumps from the floor, to a shelf under the clothing bar, and then to the top of the bar!!

Oh, Trixie is so cute! How much fun she must be! My downstairs is bunny proof, and my 2 bunnies come out and play for several hours a day. It is so much fun!

Yes, she has a small bath house. It is enclosed, which is great because it pretty much keeps most of the dust contained, untill she jumps out and popcorns around a bit to shake the extra dust off.
