I'm a bit surprised that Ami doesn't recognise some of the collection. Perhaps she is just a young banana bender.

A banana bender, is Aussie slang for a Queenslander. In Queensland they grow their bananas straight and have to employ people to bend them just a little before harvest.

here in Albury, we call Victorians "Mexicans" ie south of the border. But it's all in fun.

My wife's family are all Mexicans. Glen Huntley, Balwyn, Glen Waverley, Essendon, and such places.

I remember being dragged to Albury with my mum and grandma when pokies were still illegal in Melbourne. it was teh worst weekend of my life. I was 12. I couldn't drink away the boredom. :wah:
