Am I seeing things?

i always delete my p.m's after reading them, had a bad experience on another forum where a friends p.m was heavily edited & then posted, caused a lot of trouble

always been a bit suspicious since of why people whould store them, once read, bin i say

If there are any PMs that I want to keep, I cut and paste them into Wordpad. Then I can delete the PMs.
