Did anyone watch Dateline tonight? Its ending right now! Did anyone see the last family?
The dad called his own daughter a "dirty little bitch"? This dateline brought back some nasty memories and IMO this stepmothr needs to get the **** beat out of her! Im astonished that she is able to keep her children!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IM PISSED at this woman!!!!!!!!! UUUUGGGGHHHHHHHH!

I watched both hours. The first woman was a control freak and perfectionist (dangerous combination). The second woman clearly saw the older daughter as competition. People should date for years before creating a step-family.

I watched some of that program myself.
I was aghast at the behavior of the second step-mom. She was acting like a child herself. The fathers behavior was also immature.
I got from the program two things.
1. A step-parent can never feel about a step-child the way the biological parent feels about the child. The bond is not there.
2. Step-parents should never discipline or criticize the step-children; that is the birth parent's job. However, both parents do need to communicate with each other and support each other.
I am a step-parent, but my step-kids have been grown and on their own since before I married their father. They have always been welcome in our home. I have the added bonus of step-grandchildren.
Any other step-families out there? God bless us all.

Th second step mother really set me off! And how could you call a 13 year old child a "dirty little bitch"? That's horrible behavior. That child will never have a good self esteem after being talked to like that! Its disgustiing! IM still shocked!
