Are We Alone In The Universe?
Reported sightings of Unidentified Flying Objects (UFO's) are not new to us but whether such sightings are true or hoaxes is a matter of opinion. Looking at the infinite vastness of the Universe, is it not possible for an area of it to have identical conditions to our earth and therefore support life? What is your opinion regarding the UFO phenomenon or the possibility of life elsewhere in the distant reaches of space? Please share it with us.

My ex husband and I saw something once in Northern Ontario.... it was at night when it was clear and you could see a million stars.. there was this enormous triangular shaped thing with a light at each point and it was dead silent as it moved slowly.. hovering..it was so low we kept losig sight of it because of the trees (we were driving and trying to follow where it was going) then it was gone. We were just getting glimpses of it basically we could just see the shape because of the triangular section of stars that was missing in the sky.
My ex husband has always been fascinated by UFO shows / books and I remember in the 80's we were watching a Bud Hopkins/Dr. Mack show on abduction and he started shaking and was physically ill... after seeing that show and reading "Communion" by Whitley Strieber he started insisiting that this happened to him.
His Mom said that as a child, Rob would have 'night terrors' and be kicking and screaming and they would not be able to wake him up... they wouldhave to put him in the shower - and get cold water to bring him out of it - they said he was so strong - it took 2 of them and his heart was pounding... then in the morning he would not remember any of what happened.
Even when I was married to him some mornings he would look exhausted like he never slept a wink and would say something happened to him the night before (I slept right beside him and had a great night sleep) so I was worried about him but I didn't believe he was abducted in his sleep... but occasionally he would have an odd mark on his body.. like a'scoop mark' or a needle mark, or a weird bruise that was not there the night before.
He could not watch movies like "Fire in the Sky" or Close Encounters they would terrify him. Even lighter/funny Alien movies like Independence Day bothered him and although we are divorced now... when SIGNS came out and he saw clips he was horrified
We used to go to vegas all the time and once we had a car and drove to the Area 51 road (it is not on a map) we had to ask directions.... he was compelled to go there.. I sat in the air conditioned car and hoped that he didn't get shot for walkin passed the tresspassing sign.
I don't know if he is nuts - I am a live and let live kind of person - he is fixated on anything Alien related, fascinated yet terrified to watch.. he wants to hear about it but is afraid to hear about it all at the same time, it hinders his life, his work, his sleep ~ he says it is the first thing he thinks about when he wakes up and the last thing he thinks about when he goes to sleep... and many many times during the day his mind flashes to the subject.
My new husband says Bollocks to UFOs :p but he feels sorry for Rob.
ROb and I have a daughter together, and I have threatened him within inches of his life not to get her scared and paranoid about aliens... she has watched lots of alien movies and Contact is her favorite - she thinks there is something out there, as I do.. but we are not afraid.

Are We Alone In The Universe?
I fully believe we are NOT alone in the universe. While I have never seen any proof, I still believe. First of all, I don't think that there are that many crazy or delusional people in the world, and I also don't beleive in the "mass hallucinations" some people credit the sightings to. I would also wonder why SO many people would go to the trouble to create SO many hoaxes. That being said, I think this universe is so huge, what is the point of all that SPACE? Just for us meek little earthlings? Nah. Not likely. So, how much of the galaxy is actually "mapped"? (For lack of a better term.) How much of it can we monitor? There is so much out there that we don't know about. It's absurd (and rather self-centered) to believe that the ENTIRE universe exists just for us. I hope one day to see some proof of my theories. I just hope it dosen't turn out like "Independence Day." :yh_laugh

Are We Alone In The Universe?
Several years ago I too witnessed a "UFO". I lived in Ontario at the time and was at Collingwood camped onthe beach, and stone cold sober. What I saw does not fit any of the so called explanations of swamp gas etc. The following morning on the Radio there were reports of sitings all across Ontario.
I'm convinced.

Are We Alone In The Universe?
The Tibetan Bhuddists believe that there are many sentient beings in the Universe. The human shape is not the only shape that means that a being is sentient.
Their method of travel is astral projection. This is where the soul or spirit leaves the body and can travel at the speed of the imagination which is, according to them, the strongest force in the Universe.
They travel to these other planets that contain life forces and talk to the inhabitants that have developed the ability to leave the corporal forms behind. The communicate, enjoy each others company and then leave.
With the Universe being made of billions upon billions of stars and galaxies it is hard to think that there is no other place that life forms have taken root and grown.
There are some Tibetans that claim that they have spoken to and interacted with aliens that have come in their ships with their equipment to test and see what the humans are about. The Tibetans got along with them and there was the understanding that they are part of the Universal life of God. We are the evolutionof 4 billion years of life and the Universe is now expected to be 17 and a half billion years old. The odds of us being the only entities in the Universe could be argued ad nauseum but it is entirely feasible that we aren't alone in the Universe.
Some friends of mine were building a Therevaden Buddhist monastery in Revelstoke B.C. They had bought some land which was a mountain top.
I came from Ontario, with my companion at the time, to give them a hand because I believed in the Bhuddist way of life. It was the beginning of May and, being as there was no housing to sleep in, we found ourselves sleeping in the great outdoors under clear plastic sheeting which acted as our tent.
On our third night there it was time to go to sleep and being tired I was ready to roll over and grab some sleep. That mountain air invigourates until you drop. Just as I was about to doze off my companion started going, "Oh, wow. Oh my gosh. Oh wow.
When I said, "What?', she just continued with her ohs. I opened my eyes and looked at her and she was looking off into the west intimating to me that I should look in that direction.
I turned in that directiion and there on a mountain top about ten to 15 miles away was this incadescent round object that looked to be about the size of the moon in the sky except that it was so close to where we were.
What the orb was doing was travelling in a circular path that would move behind the mountain and reappear. It 's trajectory is much like the mountain that is shown in the paramount motion picture where the stars circle the mountaintop.
It kept circling and circling. I was as stunned by what I was seeing as she was. I had expected it to stop but it kept circling the mountain top and disappearing behind it and coming back into view. After a few moments I got up and tried to rouse the others that were camped out but they were fast asleep and then it stopped.
The following morning I told them about it and Kun Zhang believed it but the description of what had occurred was lost on the others that offered, when I asked for an explanation of what I had seen, that it could have been circle lightning. It was feasible, but not knowing what the size of these circular lightnings were, meant that it was just accepted as being a natural phenomenon that only we had witnessed.
Khun Zhang and his wife took it to be a sign that they were doing the right thing and to this day I have not visited the site because I have not been out West since then. When I do go out there I will check out the mountaintop to see or feel what is there.

Are We Alone In The Universe?
I have what is in my opinion a Biblical perspective on extraterrestrial life.
There are angels- spirit beings vastly more powerful and intelligent than us, who travel constantly between the dwelling place of God and earth (and certainly other inhabited worlds as well). There are also fallen angels. Those are the one third of the original angel population that sided with Satan's rebellion against God.
There are people on other inhabited worlds. There is a verse that says the earth was not created in vain but meant to be inhabited. Therefore, since the physical makeup of the universe and the law of averages dictates that there are likely to be many other worlds like ours, and they were not created in vain, therefore there are other inhabited worlds. We are created in the image of God. Certainly God made the other planets' inhabitants after His image as well.
There is God Himself. I have read from a modern prophetic writer whose writings I hold in high regard, that though the presence of God is everywhere, His actual throne, and central location is in the Orion Nebula. When Jesus returns, I think (not exactly equal to saying "I believe" because it's speculation) He will come from the direction of Orion.
It is also written that Satan and his angels (whom we call demons) were cast out of heaven, away from God's throne and access to other planets, and that sin reigns on this planet alone. All the sufferings and struggles on this planet since the beginning have been because of rebellion against God started by Satan. The angels, and the unfallen people on other planets are all watching what unfolds on planet earth, and to see how God is dealing with the sin problem. They view our planet and the way we live our lives with horror and disgust, although they are encouraged whenever we do something right. But they would no sooner come here to visit us than I would want to stroll unarmed through the worst battle zone in Iraq. The angels come here only because it is their job, and it is an unpleasant and mostly thankless one for them, but a labor of love. When this world is redeemed, the redeemed will join their brothers and sisters throughout the universe. We'll be able to travel to distant galaxies and will be warmly received when we tell the story of what God did to save our planet.
What are UFO's? Some may be atypical natural phenomena or secret military experiments or other unexplained human work. If they are clearly paranormal, they are probably a display concocted by Satan's angels to deceive people. Case in point, Cass's ex-husband (he's unquestionably under the influence of a spirit), and anyone who is convicted of atheism because of those kinds of phenomena.

I don't think so.To clarify what I said, I am not saying that there is no such thing as a UFO. You witnessed something that I think is spectacularly paranormal. "We are ready to believe you!"
Popular folklore says that UFO's are humanoid creatures from civilizations on other planets with advanced technology who are coming here in space ships to either conduct experiments or trade or exploration or plunder or abductions of humans. This popular folklore clashes with the cosmology I hold as a Bible believer. However as a Bible believer, I know that paranormal phenomena are very real, and people really do experience what seems undeniably to them, to be encounters with space aliens. Things aren't always what they seem.
It is written that Satan's angels perform deceiving miracles to deceive even the saved if possible, and that Satan himself and his workers masquerade as angels of light. Satan knows that if he can simulate an alien encounter to certain person, and given that one's personality, if they see that, they will buy into the popular folklore interpretation of what a UFO is, and will as a result of the experience, become a hardened skeptic and unbeliever in the Bible, or worse yet, become obsessed and troubled, Satan's angels will perform that display. God will allow such a test because Satan has challenged God's claim to our allegiance, and won the right to test us all.
My warmest congratulations to you, Ken. They tried it on you, and even though you still don't know the exact nature of what you saw that night (and neither do I), you still believe in Jesus. You passed a vital test. There will be other tests. The Big One is, I believe that Satan will simulate the second coming of Christ! That one will test the loyalty of every person on this planet.
And Polycarp is exactly correct. All this is merely my opinion.

I had never considered the possibility of aliens being connected to God, the Devil and Christ. I haven't given much thought to aliens in general. Although a friend of mine approached me quite seriously one day and demanded to know if I was really a lizard. She had just read some David Icke book.
I believe life is an illusion. So if we are not "real" then aliens are not "real". To anyone that has had alien encounters it is a valid concern to think of where they are from and why they appeared. It is no concern of mine until such a time as they may become a part of my illusion. Then I would have to think of what purpose they served in fulfilling the goal/dream that is my life. I have no reason to believe they don't exist...but they are currently none of my business.

Maybe God, Satan, Angels etc. are aliens ?
That might explain a lot of things.

Anthropormorphized God does not fit in my idea of the scheme of things. God being situated in a particular segment of the universe is also hard to handle.
The Tibetans refer to the aliens as being the gardeners of the earth. If we have come from 200 years of scientific explorations to be where we are today then why can't we get our heads around the fact that, in God's Infinite Wisdom, he did allow them to move ahead like we have done.
The Bible states that the world was built in 6 days. The literalists believed that we came upon this earth some 6 thousand years ago. Others see evolution and ne'er the twain shall meet. These irreconciliable differences will not meet unless we can figure out how long a God day is? If both schisms are looking at this difference then the only argument is the length of the day. And not that it took six days in earth time to deliver the goods of having built the universe.
The literalist and his implacable theory of six days and the evlolutionists with their immovable theory should be able to see that they are both right. Neither is wrong per se. So, what' the problem? It might be found in the tithing structures of the various representatives of God on earth. How much you put in the donation box to prove that your guy speaks more strongly than the other guy about where we have come from. would fit the bill.
In this context it is seen that there is the possibility of there being aliens because God had created us looking, so the story goes, for the perfect incarnate representation of Himself to be made on Earth. Are we justified in saying tht He is so powerful that he did it as quickly as He did because if we are then everything that has led up to the day of His placing us on earth doesn't count. As Einsten said God does not play dice.
Are we saying that God searched the Universe for the clay from which Adam was drawn up into his form did not come from the evolutionary processes that mark the universe's growth from the big bang? The boiling cauldron of the universe boiling down to the type of clay or earth that is found on the planet earth couldn't or wouldn't fit the bill for the creation of mankind. How long is a God day and were there other forms of life that didn't quite pass the Quality Inspector's gaze?
I would think that the information of Quantum physics, just as the age of the universe, are things that we are only beginning to grasp. God, in my universe, is the universe. What we consider to be the universe according to the hubble is a mere 17 billion+ years old. We suspect that what we see is but a finite piece of the universe. Are we to say that is all that there is. Now there is the baloon theory.
The way that it is explained is as thus: If you were to stand back and observe the universe it would be in the shape of a balloon. The conjecture of the size of the universe is put into perspective if we moved in and placed our faces on the baloon. What little portion that we now see is what is the universe that Hubble would give be giving us as its pictures. An unimaginable vastness. Everything that the world of the universe is made up of but in the context of the balloon theory we are seeing but a slice of its vastness. The scientific evidence points to it being so.

I'm talking to humans and you know how they are when it comes to aliens. I guess it is by inference... if we are the ones... then all the others are not.... ! Oh sh*t! What if we are the low ones on the totem pole? Recent arrivals. Ah. Ya. Um. Er. ah-h. M-m-m? Didn't mean to say...er... uh.... ? I thought that it was stated that they are the integral part of our evolution? Part of what had come before. God's cauldron. Only repeating what has been said. Until He tells me I won't know anything for sure.
Wait. Hark! It's coming through... hard to hear... "send a hudred dollars each (American) and you will be saved... Make checks or moneyorders payable to fg,...
oh...I'm coming out of the trance. What happened?
