HA...when i worked corrections, they not only had to sleep on nasty cots, and mattresses on floors when the census was too high, if they were being a pain in the arse, argumentative, rude, disobeying basic rules, i'd take away all their clothes, sheet, blanket and mattress and leave them naked. ( it was within my authority) nothing left but a cold steel bunk. they soon learned not to give me shite. my tower operators used to crack up!

Awwww....poor widdle criminals....I feel so bad that they are in such horrible discomfort and inconvenienced this way. Poor, pityable creatures. Where, I ask, is the justice?

I almost got through that with a straight face.

All we hear about over here is how "cushy" the prisoners have it, makes my blood boil!!:mad: And how there so overcrowded. Pity isn't it? These criminals are sent to prison to pay for their crimes and to be punished. It's about time the authorities in this country made prisons harder on those inside. What about all the victims? A lot of them have to suffer fro the crimes of others for the rest of their lives, not just the ten years or whatever a criminal has to "suffer" for in prison.

Good on yer LadyCop, glad to see someone was giving it to them back :)

I think the Sheriff in Arizona really has something going with his tents, bologna sandwhich meals, and pink uniforms. Maybe we should adopt some of his philosphies in other jails. :D

LC posted a story about that guy a while back. He's a friggin' genius!! THAT'S a prison. And he stands up to anyone who says anything about "Cruel and unusual" punishment. And his rate of return criminals? I believe it's one of the lowest in the country. (Correct me if I'm wrong, LC.) Guys that have been there do NOT want to go back. That dude is my hero.

I think the citizens in his county agree with ya BR, I read in the last election he won by a landslide.

What gets me going red hot is that I don't qualify for financial aid to finish college, but these guys can get their degree behind bars easily.

There's a lot of innocent people in those jails you know. :yh_rotfl :yh_rotfl :yh_rotfl

Boo friggen whoo they have to sleep on a floor; they are not homeless. They have medical care while so many others don't. They don't have to worry about paying rent, utilities, getting up and going to a job yet they have it rough?

Personally, I don't think that you should have any Constitutional Rights if you are convicted of a violent crime.
