I'm so WITH ya on this DG... but I always worry, that those who aren't mentioned will feel badly...

so if we neglect you.. speak up and we'll let ya have the cold hard truth! ;)

well, first and foremost--

FAR and ACC ~ The first lovely men who made me feel so welcome here... and their degree of flirting was in tune with my own... I felt comfortable to be myself. And they are both happily married, as am I, which made it that much better. Safe. ;)

Minks ~ What a lady! If I were into chicks, baby, you'd be first in line! HAHAHA!

Flop, Sojo, Snooze, AussiePam and Basco for their humor... Man! Sometimes i have to walk away just to catch some air in between the laughter... Thanks for that. I believe laughter IS the best medicine.

Mom, Betty, Pina, chonsi, Sunny, Sheryl, Saff, TG, Val, DG, and many others... ~ Just wonderful gals to know... I've never hung out with such a great bunch of ladies.

Wolvie, Chris, Jives, Nomad, Clipper ~ so many men, so little time. Just kidding! YEESH~ chris is the same age as my boy! Y'all make me smile. And that's tops in my book!

LC and BR... ya thought i left ya out didn't ya... nope! I adore you for your IN YOUR FACE courage and honesty.

the point is... I can't think of anyone on this forum I DON"T like!

When asked what I admire, desire, require most in others... Honesty and humor are always 1 and 2. Y'all rock!

Let's see

Sojo and Bez great advice givers, and funny

Minks, Basco, Jab, Sweet, who am I missing? Great ladies, would be fun to go out on town with you guys.

flop & Snooze- not afraid of the gutter, love thier sense of humor

Jives, Far, Clipper- great guys with good sense of family and love. Oh yea and funnier than hell.

Acc-funny and smart, 2 things found rarely together in a guy :p

Wolvie- hmmm i'll have to get back to ya. :wah:

Arnold, Uncle, Clancy- music guru's (Jive's too here) twisted sense of humuor but your posts always crack me up.

Tmbsgirl - sweet and nice

Sunny, AussiePam,- haha 2 more I'd like to go out on town with

LC and BR - take no sh*t off ya, to the point, doubt they'd lie to ya. The friend ya want to watch your back

Designergal- strong and tough, posts are either informative or hilarious. I like em both :D

Ohh there's so many colorful people on FG, it's hard to say why each person is special. I think we are all special in making FG the place it is. We all add some spice to the mix.

I won't name any names, just know that I enjoy all of you very much. Even the ones who I butt heads with constantly, you bring entertainment and thought to my life. Being made to think and consider my position, being challenged, I love it all.

This is a great place. :-6 :-4 :-6 :-4

Okay, this is just my beginning...it's going to take me several days to post my tributes to an amazing group of people, as I want to do you all justice...

Betty - a lovely and genuine friend both on FG and in real life. No, I don't agree with that very expensive cheese grater she bought in Truro the other week and, yes, it was very difficult for me trying to keep her away from the posh potato shredder with a pretentious name, the olive stone remover and all the other 'useful' gadgets she had her eye on, and yes, it will be a nightmare on our London FG trip if we visit any more gadget shops. But none of that stops me from feeling privileged to call her a friend. Betty is fun to be with, she has a brilliant sense of humour, she's thoughtful and she's a very special person :-6

Chonsi - it's really difficult to pay tribute to our Chonsi because there aren't enough words to describe a person who won't hear a bad word said against anyone and who is always there to support and uplift all the members of FG. Personally, Chonsi was a tower of strength to me when I was in America and her encouragement and love were unfailing. Although she has her own set of difficult life circumstances, I have never heard her complain and she continues to give, unfailingly, to others. I love her to bits...FG's own special angel :-6

OpenMind - someone with a huge heart and whose intelligence and integrity I so admire. Here is a special soul who has so much to offer and who continues to give, quietly and self effacingly, whether or not his gifts are acknowledged. I see him as someone who strives constantly to make life better and more beautiful for everyone. Open sees the good in everyone and everything...what an amazing person...thank you. :-6

Weeder - what can I say, dear friend? I've known you only a few short weeks and yet, I feel as if I've known you all my life! You are so easy to talk with and I adore your sense of humour. But alongside humour you have true compassion, love and understanding. I could say absolutely anything to you and I know you would respond in a way that would show you have listened, really listened to me. You are truly alive and you treat life as an adventure to be lived...how I admire and respect the way you are. I can't wait to meet you...and I know you won't expect me to be wearing my black bag! :-6

And now...

Accountable - Acc was one of the first people ever to pm me. We were playing one of Abbey's quizzes and I was struggling. Acc humorously gave me some hints. In doing this, he made me feel as if I was accepted as part of the FG family. Acc was the very first person to know about my trip to America. I knew he was wholly trustworthy and would respect my confidentiality. He gave me valuable advice and ensured that he provided me with an additional contingency should I find myself in danger. Since that time he has proven himself to be a wise and supportive friend and I consider myself very fortunate to know him. Not only is he wise, he is amusing, articulate and intelligent. Love you, Acc. :-6

Nomad - was the second person to know about my American trip. I was really nervous about pmming him initially but Acc told me he would prove to be supportive and a good friend if needed. He was so right. Nomad is someone who gives of himself one hundred percent. If someone is in distress, he is the first to offer genuine and selfless help...I find that incredibly heartwarming. And, as for his writing and creativity! Why isn't he published? His posts are so original and I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking that he is one of FG's most awesome posters...thank you, Nomad, with love :-6

Laser - Laser, I don't know you quite as well as Nomad but I don't have to, to know that you are a very warm and lovely lady. Like your husband, you are generous in spirit and so very kind in nature. I look forward to meeting you, and Nomad, one day. :-4

Minks - Minks is a truly lovely lady. I hadn't been a member of FG very long when the London bombings happened. I certainly didn't expect to be included in the list of Brits to whom Minks would write to check their safety. I was and, Minks, that meant so much to me. I was a newbie, yet you thought to include me as if I was a longstanding member. All this goes to show that you are a warm, caring and thoughtful person and I love you to bits! :-6

Chonsi: She's such a sweetie & is great with the kids :-4

Lil: A gal from my own neck of the woods... sorta ;)

Acc: I love to argue with him & then make up :p

Minks: Such a nice person

LC: Where would this place be without her?

Forum Friends

I've had one of those days

you know what I mean

so I sit back and relax

and turn on my screen.

I'll talk to all my friends

who know just what to say

to make my stresses go

and my troubles fade away.

My friends you're always there for me

whenever I feel blue

and though we've never met before

I know our friendships true.

And although we haven't been friends for long

in this short time it seems

we shared so many things already

our hopes, our fears, our dreams.

We come from different walks of life

but we share a common bond

and it's time to say that of all of you

I've grown so very fond.

So thank you friends for being there

whenever I've needed you

I know you're always there for me

and you know I'm there for you.
